When fully unfolded, the map measures 25" x 35" On the reverse, there are two maps that are each 17" x 25" The folded map fits into a neat pocket adorned with colorful sardines. The small attached guidebook features many destination points around the city, in English. There is also a short legend/guide to the city, in Portuguese. The whole item is printed in vivid blues. There isn't a date printed on it. But my best guess is that it is from the 1950s or 1960s, sometime midcentury. A lovely item!

I'm not sure of the exact age of this map(Mosy likely early 1980's) But it depicts Europe as it was post World War II in 1953. The spring operated roll system makes this easy to deploy and retract and it is in perfect working condition. This map was purchased as surplus from a local university. The large white marks are just reflections from my poor lighting. These maps measure 50" across and is about 40" tall. It also includes the built in mounting bracket/rail so it's ready to install. Up for auction is an old antique map of the Eastern Hemisphere showing Asia. Europe, Africa, and Australia. Below the map it says, Published by Samuel Walker, Boston. I am not exactly sure what year this map was printed, but I believe this map is from the mid 1800's. The overall condition is fair with good color, but there are some yellowish brown spots that you can see in the pictures. The spots are probably from age, but perhaps it took on some moisture at some point over the years. The paper though is great with a nice cream color and no tears, creases, or other defects to mention. The size of the entire paper is 10.5" x 8.5" and the diameter of the map is 7.25" This map is guaranteed to be an original and not a reproduction. Vintage 1977 National Geographic Map of Celtic Europe w/Descriptive Notes This map is in excellent condition and feature a vintage map of Western Europe with descriptive notes on the reverse side. It is approximately 30 x 23 inches in size. Please be aware that these National Geographic Maps are anyware from 30 to 80 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So some of the maps you are buying will be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders of the maps may also have small tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored ... morein the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in time.
