It is made of canvas and the map measures about 40" wide by 50" long while the wooden header is about 45- 46" wide. Good color, many points of interest such as about 1/2 of what we now know as the state of Oklahoma is"Indian Territory" The"Dominion of Canada" and no Panama Canal. Some wear is evident as shown in the pictures and there are a few areas of repair as shown on the pictures of the back(mostly along the bottom) Please use supersized pictures for your assessment of condition. The map shows many cities and counties in the eastern part of the state. The western part of the state shows Indian areas and labels like"sulphur water" salt pond" and"horsehead crossing" An inset shows the northern part of the state. Up for auction is a vintage antique roll up style school type"Philip Commercial Map of the Indian Empire" Made by the George Philip& Son, Ltd, Co, London. It is offered in fair to good used condition and runs on the scale of 50 miles to 1" It is printed on a canvas material. It was recently found in the Lancaster County, PA area. This map retains its original hanger. There are several tears and weak areas on this piece, but it is a wonderful piece if you have the space to display it properly. This item is a exceptional antique school house pull down wall map of North America. The map is copyrighted by W. A.K. Johnson and put out by A F Nystrom. It is in the original oak wall mount case. The case is 47 inches long making the map about 44 inches. The roller is copyright 1901. No other copyright dates on the map, it does have Utah and Arizona so after 1912. The bottom part of the map has damage as shown in photos: this can be repaired. It does have the canvas type of backing. This could be a great map with a little TLC. Shipping will be $15.00

Here is an old(antique) Large. Pull down map of ancient Greece(looks like the Pauline age) It does have some discoloration at the bottom- in some of the pictures you'll notice some lines and shading that aren't on the map they are just shadows behind it(sorry bad pictures) the map is in otherwise good shape. There is no date on the map itself but the latest patent date on the pole is 1901 so I'm assuming the map dates around that era. I'm not sure if the coil mechanism works- I have done my best to describe this item and as such it is sold as is.

Large Antique 1857 Map Of Lewis County New York Roll School Linen Land Owners
Large 51 inches wide by 56 inches tall map of Lewis County. Made from actual surveys by A. Ligowski in 1857. Condition is all original. Somewhat yellowed with age and many creases and cracks in the paper. But no substantial pieces missing. This linen backed map has a split about in the center starting at the top and going down nearly half way. Overall and considering it's age this map is in decent/repairable condition. We are selling an Antique Rand McNally(of Chicago and New York) School House Wall Map from 1908. Copyright is 1894. This map is attractive and in nice condition for it's age, and is quite large. The map is a Global Series on Linen Material and is of the United States, Canada, Mexico. The color is still bright. There are a few small tatters on one side of the map and I took close up photos of this. The Map hangs on wood boards on both ends of the Map. The Map rolls up for storage. The Map measures: Wooden dowel is 42" long and the map itself border to border measures 46 1/2" long x 37 1/2" wide. This is a nice Antique Map to add to any collection.
