Taped to the back of the frame is the following description: Although published in 1758, the? of Louisbourg's second seige, this map details the first capture of the Dunkirk of the West in 1745. It was originally published in the Universal Magazine of May, 1758. A postscript to the accompanying article mentions rumors of another force under Admiral Boscawen having left the West Indies for Nova Scotia. Printed in two colors-the green showing the Russian positions and the red showing Japanese. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness. In near VG or better condition. Minor light surface age wear, and some wrinkling on the edge of the sheet which is confined to the blank margins as well as a small hole at the intersection of two fold lines, but the map remains clean and attractive[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws] The printed area remains visually pleasing.
