Antique Matching Set of 4 Architectural Salvaged Corbels with Original Paint
Here is a matching set of four salvalged antique scroll type design corbels with the remnants of the original paint. The corbels measure 24" high. 5" wide, and 19" deep(however the ones with the attached trim measure closer to 22" deep) I have tried to show as much as I can with the 12 pictures available, but have taken additional photos(5 of each corbel showing each side, the top, back, and bottom) There are some pieces missing here and there on the corbels, I guess to be expected when they are this old. I will likely ship two to a box(20 X 20 X 25) and each corbel weighs about 17 lbs. So, please double the shipping charges shown- I will send a final invoice for total payment due. Incredible Vintage Antique Solid Wood Handcarved Corbel Birds Intricate Ornate
Here is an incredible vintage/antique solid wood handcarved corbel with some very intricate and ornate detail. There are various types of birds that are carved within the detail of this corbel. Along with many other designs. The corbel is quite large and stands about 27" tall. It is about 11" at its widest, and 4- 5" deep. The corbel is mounted on a very heavy steel base and does lift off the base. The base measures about 11 1/2 by 12" and weighs about 20 lbs. The wood carving itself weighs around 16 lbs. This is just a really beautiful and unique piece. I have not seen any like it listed on ebay. I don't know the actual age of this item, only that it shows signs of age. Worn appearance from natural aging. They have some fissure type age cracks which are typical in old wood, but no loose pieces. The bottoms of these Corbels have been cut at an angle to fit the house they were on originally. Please see our other listings for more great items. This is a gorgeous antique HEAVY corbel that measures 11 x 7 x 9. I am unsure of the material-it feels like it could be alabaster. Marble(travertine? or some kind of granite. They do have some damage where they were removed from the house that they were on, but in my opinion they are still in pretty good condition considering their age. Interesting pieces of carved wood. Almost 8" long, 2 7/8" wide, and 1 1/8" thick. Have holes in the back for pegs to hold this on whatever if came off of. Has no finish that I can tell. May have originally held a shelf on an old pump organ, dresser, or dining room piece, maybe even off an old mantle. Anyway, very nice. RARE Oak Winged Cherub Corbel Clock Shelf. Signed By Carver Offered is a genuine antique hand carved solid oak wood corbel/clock shelf signed by the artist J Mathews of Grantham England. This is the exquisite piece that so many more modern corbels are replicating but this is the REAL THING. Even more rare is the piece is signed by the maker which qualifies this as a true museum piece. Corbel measures 11in. tall. 12.5in. wing to wing and 7in. deep weighing approx. 6lbs. Condition is excellent for its age having no repairs still retaining a deep rich patina gained over the past 300+ years, though there are minor expected issues such as minor chipping and a stable age crack in the right wing. Antique Victorian Wooden Corbel 1800's
Corbel measure 5.25" W x 9" D x 13.25" H The original finial got removed from this corbel long before i acquired the house that it came from. I replaced it with a new finial of a similar size. I did not glue the finial in place because you might want to strip the corbel first. Or choose not to use it at all. There is a strip of wood missing from the front trim piece, exposing the old square nails used for attaching the trim to the corbel.
