This is a wonderful pair of carved wood-look corbels/shelves made from resin. I believe. Solid brass recessed hangers. The color is picture number 5 comes closest to the real thing, but they are actually a little darker, kind of a mahogony color, I would say. They measure 9 1/2 inches across, 5 3/4 inches deep and about 6 inches in length. Need a good cleaning, but I'll leave that to the buyer. I kind of like the dusty look! Set of 2 Two Vintage Antique Architectural Gold Paint Plaster Corbels Brackets !
Hi: For your consideration here is a nice set of two(2) vintage or antique sconces or brackets! These medium to large size pieces measure a bit over 8 1/4" from the top of the shelf to the bottom tip. And the surface area of the shelf top is about 9 3/8" wide by 4 1/2" deep which is the maximum depth they would stick out from a wall when mounted. The pieces weigh close to two pounds each unpacked. They are made of what appears to be white plaster or a similar material and the gold finish looks similar to gilders paste/paint. There is a small wire rod in the plaster with a twisted piece of wire on the back of each for hanging. Both are in good condition with no major loss or cracks. Both have light to dark spots or areas in the top shelf part(3rd photo from last) and the other has several small chips and related finish loss. ... moreThe'worst' chipped area is shown in the last photo but there is nothing that could not easily be touched up. Lot of 2 Vintage Lion's Head Shelf Bracket Supports Corbels
These two plaster lion's heads purportedly came from the old Aragon Ballroom in Chicago during the 20's and 30's but take that bit of trivia with a grain of salt as that is what we were told by the seller. My wife and I have had them since 1963 and they were old when we acquired them at an auction outside of Chicago. We used them as decorations for many years but they no longer suit our decorating style. They are being sold as a pair. They measure 14" tall. 6" wide and 8" deep. They are made of plaster and have brackets molded into them through which I installed bolts to support them. They weigh a bit over 8 lbs each. One has some damage at the top where it supports the shelf but I think that is easily repairable.

Gorgeous ornate decorative brackets that came from a home that was built in the 70's. They are made out of some kind of metal possibly aluminum but sturdy like cast iron. Color is antique white. Decorative old porch corbels or roof bracket. Was salvaged from a house that was in a fire in upstate NY. Has some minor fire damage. Has old white paint with soot on it. the back bottom corners are a little soft due to the fire. Very nice scrolled design. Vintage Corbel's Great for using as shelf brackets or over a mantel! Measures approx 17 1/2" Tall and the top 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" These are Beautiful! Check the pictures! Condition is Vintage The top has some repairs. I think since they are plaster you could touch them up if needed! I think they look great, they are not painted. Check the pictures to check them over for yourself! They do have some chips on the tops and there is a crack, All Repairable if you wanted! I think it has a nice Old Patina look with its flaws or you can repair it. Paint it whatever you like! The backs are hollow and have hooks to hang these up.
