Antique Salvaged Wood Porch Corbel Roof Brackets Vintage Architectural 3063-14
Decorative old porch corbel or roof bracket. Was salvaged from a house that was in a fire in upstate NY. Has some minor fire damage. Has old white paint with soot on it. Has a few chunks out of the wood at the base of the corbel. Very nice scrolled design. Overall good solid condition. we have a matched pair from the same house listed in our Ebay store search for Item number 3064-14. A real find! 1880's VICTORIAN CORBELS 6 ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGED WOOD CORBELS 25 x 14 x 4 inches approximately ANTIQUE"Dental Work" I Totally forgot I had these until a couple of days ago when I was rooting the loft in my garage. They show their age. But are in relatively good condition. Four are solid and mostly fully intact with some minor repair needed, two need some repair to lower sections which are broken, as seen in photos(they are the bottoms of the first two working left to right) These items were removed carefully from one of the oldest homes in Mifflinville Pennsylvania prior to"Modernizing" the home. Rare group of 4 salvaged fancy wooden corbels with swirls. Leaves, and barrel shapes and embellishments. Victorian feel, very old. AS shown in the photos, there are carving pieces missing here and there. Please examine photos carefully! As I have handled these. Small pieces have fallen off, so the glue has failed on some areas. Please note that I will wrap these very carefully but more pieces may fall off in transit, but a bit of wood glue is all you need to fix it. Size is approx. 4 inches by 3 inches. Rare PAIR OF 2 salvaged fancy BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE OLD wooden corbels with swirls. Leaves, and barrel shapes and embellishments. Victorian feel, very old. AS shown in the photos, THIS PAIR IS 99.9% EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO MISSING PIECES! There are a few flakes of finish missing and sign of age in the finish. I have others like this also on auction on eBay. Same size, design,e tc. but the others have chips and pieces fallen off, where the glue has failed, but so far these 2 are still intact. I will wrap them very carefully, but it is possible something may come loose during transit but repairs can be made easily with wood glue if necessary. Size is approx. 4 inches by 3 inches. GOLD AND MAYBE BLACK PAINT ON BROWN OAK WOOD! THIS PIECE WAS CUT IN HALF AND GLUED& SCREWED TOGETHER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY CUT IT, MAYBE IT WAS CARVED IN TWO PIECES!
