This is a very cool and substantial pair of geometric architectural corbels/ brackets on a large scale. 4.5"D x 30"W x 24"L. They are in great original condition. And display a very triangular and modern look. There is a hollow square iron chase(shown here at a 90 degree angle) through which wires can be threaded and a light or lantern can be hung, and likely once was. Each measuring 11" long, 5-1/4" tall and about 3/4" thick. Featuring original old creamy white paint, these once graced a front porch, mounted between two columns. I always planned in using these somewhere, just never got around to mounting them- they both have a tiny pair of dowels mounted to the base which was how there were originally pinned into place. Condition is very nice with no cracks, hairlines, major chips or damage- lots of paint wear, scuffing, chipping and dirt cased in the cuttings- does not detract a bit. If you trim the tiny dowels off, the two sections can be joined or pushed together to create a neat round centerpiece for a table- or they look ... moregreat just decorating the mantle as a backdrop for other old painted architectural items. Description This is a great pair that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. They are matching in size and design. There is nice scroll work on the sides. All the moldings are present but need nailed on. There is chippy brown paint with bare wood in places. Each measures 13.25 inches deep with moldings. 11.5 inches tall and 8 inches thick with moldings. Overall. They are in good co ndition. There are misc. light scratches and dings as they are antique. Did they come from an old Amish home? We don't know, but most of the items brought into auction there are from the local area. They are a matched pair, 13.5" on the long side and just over 11" on the shorter side. They are 1 1/2" thick. Here we have a pair of architectural pieces( not sure of their use) with spindles. Medallions, curves and lots of personality. There is a 3/4 inch slot along the top of each, a notch cut out of the same top corner of both. There is some age wear, but no splits or damage, no veneer and no paint. They have a walnut finish.Each is 21" tall, 12" across the base, 8" across the top, and 2 1/2" thick.

Description This is a nice set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are made of terra cotta. They are very ornate with acanthus leaves o the fronts. They were originally keystones above the front doors. Each measures 18.25 inches tall. They are 14.25 inches wide overall and 8.25 inches wide at the bottom. They are 10 inches deep at the top and 6.75 thick at the bottom. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. Two Antique Completely Hand Carved Corbels. from the Pacific Islands. extremely old. from the estate of a lady that spent many years in the Philliphines. and collected and brought back to the US Antiques. there appears to be no finish on these unique corbels. and they show all the signs of extreme age and use. most likely from a Temple of some sort or an estate home. they measure 26 inches along the front and 10 1/2 inches along the back. they are 6 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches deep at the top and go down to nothing at the bottom. One of the Corbels is slightly larger than the other. it appears they were made to fit on the spot when the original building was put together. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. The wood is quite solid and there are no soft areas or rot. The one side looks like it was exposed to some heat, but it is only on the very surface and really did not hurt the corbels.
