From a house. Furniture, or where. But whoever made them did a great job. Very nicely done with lots of detail. The guys are slightly different. The carving on some of the edges are different. Winged Horse is reared up with guys hair in his teeth. Guy is holding the horse's front hoofs up over his head. It doesn't look like the top. Bottom and back are finished, like the sides and front. These would look good in between shelves. In the door ways of rooms. Think how cool these would be as chair arms The back has a metal hanger added in. No idea what kind of wood. The edges being 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" and the circles are 9 1/2" wide All are in old chippy paint. One has been partially stripped on one side Circa late 1800s. Used as corner pieces as part of the gingerbread trim on an old Victorian house The corners are a bit rough on one 2 of them have each been cut from a single piece of pine. 1" thick. antique CORBEL Architectural Fragment - Italianate shabby Chippy Primitive chic
A very large wooden Corbel with chippy paint that is from my personal collection and was purchased at an estate sale in New Orleans. Measures 18" wide. 22" tall, and 4 1/2" thick and is quite heavy approx. 14 pounds. Solid but the finial is slightly loose and could be strengthened with glue if desired but it displays nicely as is. Corbel has old chippy white paint. Appears to be the original color. There is some weathered wood, please see photos. All wood construction. Not sure what the wood is either cedar or fir, possibly. I think this is technically called a"sandwich bracket" No international shipping due to weight and size of this package.

PR ANTIQUE ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE VICTORIAN WOOD OAK CORBELS PRIMITIVE CHIPPY
Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Pair of salvage architectural corbels. 10 1/2" by 5 1/2" cut from 1" thick solid oak. These were exterior supports for a porch or roof overhang and if you look at the sides, you can see a shadow outline of the wood that separated them. The faces have a routed line decoration on the top half and a foliate design on the lower portion. Definitely a pair, since the design is a mirror image. Nice for supporting a small shelf or mantel, the oak is quite weathered and most of the white paint has chipped away. One corbel has a broken off edge at the top.
