A great piece of architectural iron, European gothic, thick and solid
RUSTY IRON. Gothic fragment. This is a wonderful piece of French-New Orleans architecture. It is rusty. But you can have it new, without rust, your choice! Size: about 10" tall and 1/2" thick. Vintage Metal Ornamental Corbel Architectural Piece Book End
This is a lovely vintage corbel not made of plaster but what feels like metal. It is heavy. But seems to be hollow. Use this for a corbel on a wall or as a book end on a shelf. There is a bracket on the back but looks like it needs another piece to be able to be hung on a wall. It is easy to find another kind of bracket to use. The backside is wood. Listed for your consideration is an authentic antique corbel. A piece of architectural wood trim, carved of what looks to be pine. It has a cobra-like, S-shaped appearance. The bottom is flat, with two pre-drilled holes for screws. The top is also flat, with one old screw already in place. Measures approximately 8" L x 3-3-8" W x 3" D. Used. Good condition. No damage or repairs, but it have the start of a few small splits to the wood, some remnants of old paint and old glue and one screw sticking out of the top. Was acquired by a family member who lived in New York City most of his life and loved frequenting estate sales. It has been packed away for nearly 50 years. I like this piece even though its only one. Use your imagination and see where you could add it to add architectural interest. I have painted it a country white and then shabbied it to show areas of the wood. It measures 13 3/4" out and 17 1/2 the other way. Its in great shape. Thank you for looking.
