Up for consideration is a pair of antique Victorian era wood corbels or brackets. They measure 12 inches at the base. Which is their longest side, and 10 inches up from that. These look great as they are. But if used outside, will be best preserved with a little more paint. These could be used in a variety of ways inside or outside the home. But originally they were decorative brackets for the exterior of the Victorian home. These probably date to late 1800’s or very early 1900’s. Condition is good on these for the age and use. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. Architectual Salvage Victorian Wood Unique Gable Corbels Circa 1870. Corbels were removed from our home last fall during a renovation. The house was built late 1860's early 1870's. You will recieve the pair shown in photos. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood. These were salvaged off a large gothic victorian home in western PA.They have a nice keystone detail that would attach to the bottom of the corbel bracket as it hung from the house. This auction is for a pair of corbels. These corbels came off our Victorian style home about 5 years ago during a renovation. I had fully intended to put these back on our home but due to sickness was never able to do so. The home was built late 1880's- early 1890's. Corbels are weathered and may have chipped paint. Cracks here and there, some areas may be missing a little wood and a number of them have old termite damage on the end. The corbels measure 18-3/4” Long by 12” High by 4-1/8” wide. Size is approx. as the corbels are hand crafted and all are unique. I have taken pictures of a single corbel. A pair, and several pictures of them in a stack.
