Vintage Estee Lauder Rouge Makeup Compact Vanity Make Up Blue Enamel Style
This is a cute vintage little Estee Lauder compact. The word"Estee" is written on the inside lid. I am not entirely sure what was inside. Perhaps rouge? The outer measurements of the case are: 2" W X 1 1/4" Deep X 3/8" High. The gold tone diamond in the middle of the top of the case has a word written in it. But I cannot make it out. There is a slight chip to the top of the blue enamel type finish, just to the left of the top of the gold tone diamond(so just one little section of it) The clasp seems to be in the shape of an upside-down fleur-de-lis. This is a Vintage Matson Vanity Mirror with lighted frame. Ornate gold Hollywood Regency style. It measures approximately 11 1/2" wide x 9" tall. It has 4 new light bulbs installed and comes with an additional eight more. It is in good vintage condition. There is a slight wrinkle in the fabric and a couple of spots on the mirror. Vintage vanity makeup mirror 1950's goldbrushed handpainted etched mid-century
Original 1950's vintage vanity table top swivel mirror. This has black spots on the mirror. Made of wood with a gold brush paint and handpainted floral design in the corners. Intricate detail trim around the frame and base edges. The oval mirror has a floral design edges into the corner. The mirror has black spots on it as if the back silvering is breaking down. There are surface scratches on this and dings in the wood, mostly at the corners and on the base. I provided close up photos of damaged areas so please take a look at all the photos above. This is well made and very sturdy, it swivels great. The overall dimensions of this is approx 15.25" tall and 15" wide with the base/foot being the widest point. The oval mirror dimensions are 9.5" tall by 7.5" wide. This weighs just under 4 pounds. The backing looks like ... morea heavy chipboard that is secured by several nails. There is a number imprinted on the bottom underside of the base. A 98 or 86, I'm not sure which way it goes. No other markings on this and I'm not aware who it was made by.
