1940s Child's Feeding Set DOLL Motif Divided Dish & Cup Shreveport LA Toy Store
This was always one of my favorite groups of items in my personal collection! It is a circa 1940s child's feeding set that includes a divided warming dish and matching mug. The items have a darling DOLL motif as the boy and girl are on a see saw with the dolly in the middle! The set is in excellent condition. The divided warming dish has its original cork and has an aluminum base. The dish measures 8 inches across in diameter. The mug measures 3 inches tall. The set is marked. This is very ornate with a high relief graceful flower in the front that raises to the top of the pot with a 2" pink bloom and curved white leaves. The top, spout and base have petal shape details. This has a beautifully antiqued 22-24K gold finish. The matching cup and saucer are equally elegant. The cup is 2 1/4" high. 2 1/2" wide with the handle and the ... moresaucer is 4" across. The cup mirrors the pot in design, the saucer also has a relief work of scrolls around it. Antique Child Toy Tea Set Poodle Dog German Germany Doll Dishes Victorian
Up for offer is a partial 9pc German porcelain child's tea set. No saucers. The 4.75"H pot. 2.5" H sugar bowl and 3 of the 2.5"H cups have a charming decal of a little boy along side a large white poodle carrying a basket in it's mouth. The 2.5"H creamer and one cup(same porcelain pattern) have a decal of a little girl feeding pidgeons from her apron. The finial of the sugar pot has broken off and is lost and three of the cups have a small chip on the underside of the base. All other pieces are in good condition. No other chips. No cracks. The gold has worn and on one of the cups and the sugar bowl(with the poodle decal) there is a blue line on the left side of the decal. All the other pieces have a decal of three girls in the same color dresses. The smallest girl is riding a st. Bernard. The 2.25" H sugar bowl has a shallow.25" chip(production irregularity) under the glaze on the base rim. and two of the 2.25" H cups have minor damage: a tiny chip on the lip that has been painted over in gold and the other cup has an 1.5" hairline on the back of the cup. Antique 1877 Hump Back Doll Child's Steamer Toy Trunk Miniature Salesmans
Antique dome top style miniature trunk. The small trunk may have been a child's doll trunk or possibly a salesman's sample. The brass lock has patent dates of March 69 and April 77. The circa 1877 trunk measures about 15 1/2" long x 10" wide x 12 1/2" tall. As pictured. The trunk has the original leather handles and interior tray. The exterior of the trunk has stamped metal with flower designs. The antique trunk is in original condition with leather intact handles and rollers on the bottom. No rust through was found on the metal. The interior paper has wear and the tray has old inactive insect damage. There is no other insect damage to the trunk. Only the back side of the tray. The metal was cleaned with a brass brush and the slates were refinished. The side wood panels were also refinished; there may have been paper ... moreon the sides at some point. From an es tate we have a very very nice small childs or toy red oak and rush or can e se at chair. I am saying Mottvill e style because it i s not marked at all and came from an area of central New York very near Mottville where these famous cha irs were made. It looks like it may have been painted re d at some point in it's li fe or at the very least has a serious red stain on the oak. The j oints are redder th an the rest. The cane or rush seat is in EXCELLENT condition leading me to believe it has been redone perhaps at some point in it's life. It is a very well put together chair and i s very sturdy. 1935 SHIRLEY TEMPLE GIRLS HAT BY LEWIS & SON w/TAG - CHILD MOVIE STAR NOT DOLL
From the depths of the Great Depression. This original vintage SHIRLEY TEMPLE GIRL'S HAT by LEWIS must have been prized by the original owner. L. Lewis& Son of Chicago was an official licensee of the famous Fox Films child star and produced a line of hats endorsed by Shirley. This is not a hat for dolls- it's a full-sized red cloth hat for a child. Amazing unrestored condition, with unfaded color and with the original tag intact. I have not attempted to steam the creases out of it, but the cloth is very supple and could easily be refreshed for display or use! See photos and scans for a closer look. The hat is about 9" wide and 10" long. Incredibly rare and a delightful addition to any Shirley collection. All the pieces have a scalloped rim and vine floral border. The covered tureen lids have a press moulded fruit basket finial on top. The set includes: Soup tureen with lid and underplatter. 3 3/4" high and 4 7/8” long(hairline in the spoon recess on the lid) Sauce tureen with lid and underplatter. 3 1/2" high and 4” long(flake on edge of lid) 2 Gravy boats. 2” high, 3 1/4" long(hairline inside one boat) Graduated platters 5 1/4" and 4 3/4" long; Underplatter with press moulded handles. 4 1/2" long; 6 dinner plates. 4 3/8” in ... morediameter; 4 soup plates. 4 3/8” in diameter; 4 luncheon plates. 3 1/2” in diameter; and· 4 pie plates. 2 7/8” in diameter. Cups are 1" high& 1-5/8" in diameter; saucers 2.5" in diam. Two of the saucers are in good vintage condition. Other pieces are fair(1 saucer has spots of rust discoloration; cups all have"dirty-looking" discoloration around rim where glaze has worn away) These date from the 1940s. Three small white china cups. 7/8" tall. 1" diam. Fair condition; dirty-looking" discoloration where glaze is wearing off. From the 1940s. Brown, and black design of pattern and straps to simulate old trunk design. Has metal accent lock closure and brackets, but front lock was for look only and was not designed to actually work. Believe this would have been possibly a salesman sample or display piece or possibly as a little girl's toy doll trunk back in the day! No manufacturer markings that we could find. Very old with wonderful nostalgic charm! This is a vintage(not new) item and should be considered as such. Condition: Sweet unusual vintage steamer trunk toy or salesman sample in aged"played with" used condition. Is delicate due to its age and construction and has age ... moreand playwear as pictured which gives this piece its unique aged antique charm. Litho paper has darkened, worn and peeled, and looks to have dirt/moisture/age spots, as pictured. Outside litho has steamer trunk details and inside is blue and white swirling vine design. Someone has glued picture/stamps of assorted children's faces and two old US flags on the inside lid. Strap around center has worn and curled on edges. Metal pieces have darkened/rusted in places and brackets on back are loose. One of the brackets is missing one of its four stud nails. Amazingly, it still has its original paper litho tray insert, but bottom of insert has detached from two sides tearing the litho and would need repair. Rare and Beautiful Woman and Child Inuit Doll Seal Fur Native American Indian
This wonderful doll was made by Inuit American Indians many years ago. She is rare in that in front of her she is holding a small completely formed little child which is actually another small doll.The woman and child's faces are carved from wood. The child's hair is painted on. The outfits of both the mother and child are made from a combination of fur types including seal. Nicely made leather moccasins are on her feet. And the child's legs and feet are of leather. Small beads decorate the lower part of the mother's parka. The child also has three little glass beads under his neck. The baby is attached to the mother with small stitches and is not removable. Standing close to 10" tall, this doll is a fantastic addition to a collection. I have never seen one like her. She is also in such good condition(a little shedding ... morebelow the parka and a few small moth holes there) and crafted beautifully. If you buy this doll, you will certainly not be disappointed.

Black hair and yarn, leather wrapped feet, Beacon style blanket folded to form arms, print cotton fabric from the early 1900's, and wooden legs. The mother's eyes look to the left and the child's eyes to the right. I am dating this in the 1920's to 30's with characteristics that are described in the"Skookum News" There is no label on the foot. These type of dolls were originally made by Mary McAboy, Missoula, Montana. Modeled after the Chinook Indians. She trademarked the Skookum"Bully Good" Indian name on April 19, 1917 and patented the doll in 1914. Skookum means excellent or mighty. The dolls were manufactured from 1914 to 1962 for souvenirs. HERE’S AN INCREDIBLE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1920S(POSSIBLY EARLIER) CHILD’S STEAMER TRUNK COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL REMOVABLE TRAY AND ALL OF ITS INTERIOR FABRIC IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION! Measuring thirteen and a quarter inches(13 ¼” in height. Eighteen and a quarter inches(18 ¼” in length, and eleven and a quarter inches(11 ¼” in width or depth(depending on how you view it) this rare vintage child’s steamer trunk displays an original black faux leather and metal exterior with thick straps complete with rows and rows of brass-colored studs(rivets) approximately 450 of them! Please Note: While all of the hardware appears to be made from brass. Including the studs, corners, hinges, lock, and handle plates, all of them stick to a magnet. To this end, of the metalwork is made from brass-plated steel. There is also an original metal tag ... moreon the trunk’s top front edge that reads: Holden Trunk& Bag Co. Inc. Petersburg. VA” As you can see from the photographs attached above. The trunk’s interior has all of its original pink, green, and white floral fabric, all of which is in amazingly beautiful condition– no damage! In fact. The trunk itself is in amazingly nice condition. There are really only two(2) issues. The side handles for the trunk were made from strap leather. One of these leather handles is missing(on the trunk’s right side) The other leather handle, which is still present, is split in middle(on the trunk’s left side) Overall. This trunk is all original– untouched! While there are some general small scratches and minor loss to the black patina, as well as some very fine little white paint speckles on the top(these are very fine and not visually distracting) this trunk was well maintained and the little girl who owned it treated it with affection. I say“little girl” because this trunk was filled with all of the items one would expect a little girl to own back in the 1920s. Also.
