Made of very white porcelain(identified by the bottom. the top is ivory color with gold accents and beading around the edge. Background is a deep moss green and dark reddish-brown(sienna? maybe airbrushed on. The roses are deep pink variations with brush marks and teal gree-blue leaves fade to white tips. This is a vintage Japanese salt or pepper shaker. It has pretty light and dark pink rose pattern with green. It is 2-3/4" high. The bottom is unmarked but it looks like Nippon to me and it still has its cork. It is in nice shape with no chips or cracks but it does have some gold loss.

Condition: It is in very good. Used, vintage, antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The cork plug in the bottom had a piece break off as I was trying to push it in further because it was sticking out too far for it to sit flat. It still needs to be pushed in(or removed) a little. Antique Rosenthal Hand Painted Roses S&P Salt & Pepper Shakers w/ Gold Gilt
For sale is this beautiful set of hand painted shakers made by Rosenthal. Bavaria. Made sometime between the late 1800s and early 1900s, this set features bold red and pink roses over a mint green background. The tops are coated in gold with scrolls on the sides. These shakers stand 2-1/2" tall and have a diameter of 1-1/2" They are both marked with the Rosenthal Bavaria backstamp. Condition Great condition. One of the shakers has a couple of slight. Shallow flakes underneath the bottom rim. Both shakers show some wear to the gold on top, primarily around the edges of the holes and along the top edge. Even so, they present beautifully.
