These Ant Irons and Screen came out of a huge Spanish Home in Los Gatos.Calif. The home was an R&R Retreat for the Royal Dutch Navy during the 2nd World war. The home was called the Hock Van Holland. Queen( Princess) Juliana visited the home during the war. These Ant Irons were in the huge fireplace in the game room. When we sold the home in 1989 we moved to Bend, Oregon and they were put in storage. This is a beautiful treasure and gift for Father for FATHER'S DAY. A gift he would love if he is a Golfer or Historian. Made in Sheffield England. and History Craft is inscribed on the bottom of the shelf. The items on the shelves( 3 golfing irons and 3 golf balls depicts an era gone by. The shelf itself is shaped like a house and is of a beautiful rich looking wood such as Mahogany; in the top peak of the shelf, on a brass oval shaped plate is inscribed The Golfing Collection. Each shelf has a brass plate with the name and date of the particular piece meant to set in that particular place. On the top shelf is a brass plate and inscribed on it is WOODEN c 1590 and on other end LEAD c 1610; the middle shelf has the inscriptions FEATHER c1709 and PHILP c 1940; the bottom shelf has the inscriptions HASKELL c 1900 and BULGER c 1885. I found these at Goodwill.Thats all I know. I did take 4 golf lessons 25 years ago and my husband said he would not golf with women.So I bought a horse. Anyway.I did the research below and this is all I could find. My husband did take these to his golf pro who said they were in good condition and had not had any work done on them and were nice and tight. The grips are in great condtion. There is one putter and 3 clubs. The numbers on the top are 10(putter) and 5.6, and 7 for the clubs. They also are marked M-43 and Reg. NO. 14300 on top of all the clubs. They are all marked Stainless Steel, tom dobson Professional Model and have the crossed golf clubs with AGC in them(I don't know what that means) They were used. For your consideration: vintage men’s right-handed Ping Karsten 1 ten iron golf iron set(2-P.S) with the matching serial number 09308 engraved on the hosels(hard to read some digits, but they look like a match) This is a earlier model that had no“color dot code” in the cavities and no numbers on the soles. Club heads are in wonderful condition for their age and have no ugly dings(note: soles look like they were mechanically polished. Sharp leading edges have some tiny nicks which are not a big deal) Grooves are in very good well-defined condition, and the cavities look nice too. Equipped with Ping Heel-Toe Balance TTT Standard steel shafts that have some minor finish wear in a few areas, but are in overall good shape(note: labels are present and show some wear. Label does not state the flex but they feel stiff.
