Vintage Stan Thompson Irons, 2 thru Pitching Wedge(minus 3 Iron) These clubs have the Stan Thompson Pro Only. Regular Dynaflite Shafts, with all the bands intact. The grips are Golf Pride Pro Only that are in good condition. But a little hard from age. This is a matched set. Serial number 88370. The 6 iron measures 37 1/2 inches. This listing is for Vintage Joe Turnesa Autograph Irons Woods& Golf Bag. The Joe Turnesa Autogaph irons consist of the following: 3 iron 7 iron 9 iron& putter. The irons have a red rubber grip. In good shape- clean and shiny with several small dings and bag clatter. The 5 iron is a Joe Turnesa Gooseneck. This has a a brown colored rubber grip and is not as shiny. I found it with the set. The Joe Turnesa Autograph woods consist of the Nos. 2& 3 woods. The woods have red rubber grips and brown inserts. Several inches of the 3 wood's whipping has come unglued and could possibly re-glued or snipped. But is not coming off any further. The canvas golf bag is in good shape but has a small dirty spot above the zippered pouch. The zipper works fine. Above the pouch there is a tear above the size of a fingernail and on the back, there ... morea tear of approx. 1 1/34" The strap to separate the woods and putter from the irons is missing. The bag and canvas for its age would display nicely. Joe Turnesa was one of the 7 Famous Golfing Brothers from Westchester County. New York. Joe had the most success with 14 Victories on the PGA Tour. Joe finished 2nd to Bobby Jones in the 1926 U.S. Open. Wintec Pro All Purpose AP Brown English Saddle 18" w/Gullet Kit, Leathers, Irons
Excellent condition! Only ridden about 6 months. The Pro AP. Or all purpose, saddle is the top of the line Wintec makes and is very nice quality. Much better than some of the earlier models. This saddle is brown(which can be hard to find) and has an 18" seat which is the largest size they make(also extremely hard to find used) It has the CAIR paneling, and I'll include the interchangeable gullet system with it. What you get: saddle- stirrup leathers- basic stirrup irons- gullet system- saddle cover I love this saddle. So comfy for long rides and very secure in the seat! Works great for trail riding and endurance or can be used for jumping. Sadly, I had to sell my horses as I'm heading back to school so I won't need tack for a while and decided to sell my last and favorite saddle. I only rode in this saddle for about 6 months, ... moreso it's in excellent shape. I never had to swap out the medium tree for either of my Morgans, fit them both great. I do have the gullet system for it that has several other widths from narrow to wide that can go with it(close to $100 to purchase the system by itself) I will also include stirrup leathers(very high quality ones at that, leather with nylon lining from Dover's cost about $100 originally, and are awesome because they don't stretch out like unlined ones do) and basic stirrup irons. New saddles don't come with any of that and you have to spend extra money buying all the trappings. Great price for all that you are getting! Questions? Vintage Wilson Staff Dynapower "Fluid Feel" Irons (2-pw) Early 70's
For your consideration is a complete set of vintage Wilson Staff Irons. Nine clubs total. 2 thru PW. These irons are from the early 1970's(I believe 1971) and are in good shape. They show the usual signs of wear found on used clubs of this age. They have scratches. Bag chatter marks, and dings. No major dents or cracks. The PW and 9 iron show the most wear. Please check the pictures to see the condition of the clubs. The grooves on all the clubs are still good. These clubs are solid and can be played as is right out of the box. The Kelmac grips are 7+ years old but are still in good shape. Shafts are steel. Vintage Bamboo Coated Golf Clubs Tom Dobson 4 of them 3 irons 1 putter OLD
I found these at Goodwill.Thats all I know. I did take 4 golf lessons 25 years ago and my husband said he would not golf with women.So I bought a horse. Anyway.I did the research below and this is all I could find. My husband did take these to his golf pro who said they were in good condition and had not had any work done on them and were nice and tight. The grips are in great condtion. There is one putter and 3 clubs. The numbers on the top are 10(putter) and 5.6, and 7 for the clubs. They also are marked M-43 and Reg. NO. 14300 on top of all the clubs. They are all marked Stainless Steel, tom dobson Professional Model and have the crossed golf clubs with AGC in them(I don't know what that means) They were used. I was emailed(by Gary) who said these were a step-down and Pyratone or Coated Club. They all have matching serial numbers except the 3 iron. The also have Rod Begg M.D. engraved on all of them. Who was a doctor at the Oregon Health Sciences University. These clubs were extremely high end custom clubs in their day. They were heraldedas the Rolls Royce of clubs on this side of the Pacific. For shear prestige and status. Kenneth Smith clubs still rate as being the finest hand crafted tools ever built for those desiring to project nothing but the"very best" while on the links. Reknown clubmaker Kenneth Smith, with over 25 patentsand innovations to his name, is credited with successfully originating the integration of science into the art of making ... moregolf clubs. Since 1928, Kenneth Smith clubs have been played by kings, presidents, celebrities and just average folks. Bob Hope, Errol Flynn, Billy Graham, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, King Leopold of Belgium and King Hassan of Morocco, just to name a few, all used clubs from this local Kansas City company. This set is has wear from being played but are still in beautiful condition. The woods are beautifully laminated. The irons are exceptional as well. The grips on most of the clubs are worn and no longer very soft to the touch due to their age. I can't imagine the cost of these originally but judging by the people who purchase them they must have cost a very pretty penny. This set comes with a vintage carry bag that is still in pretty darn good condition itself. All the zippers still work and no tears or damage to speak of. Specs: Length of 5 iron- Approx 37.5" Grips- Golf Pride Sofftie Shafts- True Temper Dynamic Stiff Steel Shafts These clubs are in used condition. The clubs have been played with quite a bit over the years. So the grooves, especially on the 9 iron are worn down a bit and the clubs have several dings, small dents, and scratches, especially on their bottom edges. The 6 iron currently has a broken shaft that will need to be replaced. Overall, these irons are in fair condition, but they might make nice replacements for a couple of irons in your set or just be a nice vintage set to own.
