Here is a magnificent 19th c french baccarat cut glass luster. It measures 23" x 13" There are 45 faceted prisms that maximize the reflected light. It is beautiful to see the colors when this happens but difficult to capture in a picture. Unfortunaely while I was cleaaning it one of the petals from the candle holders snapped and I repaired it. There is also a place where it looks as though there has been a repair done on one of the bottom circles that holds a prism. They both can be positioned towards the back making them unoticeable from the front.The rest of the piece is in very good condition with no chips or cracks anywhere including prisms. The base has raised circles and small circles on the rim. It unscrews with brass threads at 4 different places making it easier to ship. Vintage Ornate Brass Balance Justice scale w/ Crystal Prisms& Cut Glass Trays Will be adding a 2 tier plate that matches this perfectly! This is a gorgeous ornate brass balance scale. This scale is full of floral and scroll detail in brass. Under the bottom of the scale are 7 outstretched brass petal arms with beautiful crystal prisms dangling off the ends of each arm. The footed base sits on a round white marble base. The scale has removable weighing trays; they are gorgeous crystal cut glass trays with brass chains. This piece is stunning and is in very good condition and I only see a few bends in the metal of the hanging crystals. There is some patina on the brass but the crystal prisms are intact and the glass trays have no chips nor cracks. This is a beautiful decorative piece! Just needs a good cleaning from being stored

The quest could rinse his/her glass in the wine glass rinsing bowl which would be about 1/2 full with clear water. This bowl is a 2 quest bowl and the glass stem rested in the notch on the edge of the bowl as one rinsed the glass for the next wine. 1930s Art Nouveau Austrian Crystal Overlay Cut Glass Decanter Elegant cased and cut bell shaped decanter with hand cut Art Nouveau design. Produced by Famosa LPW in Vienna. Austria between 1920 and the 1930s. The decanter does not have the original sticker but displays the identical form, colors as documented with the Famosa label. Decanter features double overlay results in three layers of glass. The inner layer is milky white, center layer is amber and the outer layer is a dark amber or chestnut. The artist cut through the outer layer to the center to produce the deocr. The white and amber layers produce the caramel coloration. The decanter is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a royal blue background with dark and light blue in the flower, and dark and light green on the leaves. NICE! It measures 9" x 10" not including handle. The handle is about 27" long. It has 2 spots of red beads missing to edge, oterwise the bag is excellent. It is a super soft doe skin leather, that looks to be sinew sewn. The liner to inside is satin like, and later machine stitched with cotton thread, maybe added later in time. The piece is from c 1920 era. This is a beautifully cut wine goblet in the Napolean pattern by Straus. Straus was a major player in the cut glass arena in the early days of American Brilliant cut glass. In the beginning their work was comparable to Dorflinger and their designs exceeded Dorflingers. The Napolean pattern is well done with nicely cur alternating hobstars and x cut vesicas. The pattern is shown in an 1895 advertisment on the Straus/Macy catalog reprint. The stem portion is solid and flute cut with fine mitering. The foot is hobstar cut. Great quality piece. I have 3 of these available. If interested I can list matching champagnes and water goblets. The wine goblet measures 4 3/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches diameter. Here we have a very Unique ABP Cut Glass Vase signed Hawkes! The Vase is 8" high and is 3" at its widest point. The top opening is 1 1/2" and the base is 3 1/4" in width. The condition is Pristine with no chips or cracks or hairlines. We have never seen this shape before. The top has very fine cutting going all around and then 12 panels going around the top section. The vase also has a teardrop in the stem. This is a very Unusual piece of ABP Cut Glass. The Hawkes signature is the Trefoil mark. This early crystal bowl has dazzing sparkle- lots of cuts(stars inside of stars) and is amost perfect. It has a small ding on one of the scallops and the top edge- but you have to hunt for it. It is approx. 8" round and 3 1/2" tall. I wish it weren't so hard to photgraph crystal-cause these pictures don't really do this piece justice. ABP Cut Glass Perfume/Cologne Bottle Long Neck
Beautiful ABP cut glass perfume or cologne bottle that is a lovely all over deeply cut pattern and a zipper pattern on the neck. Even the bottom has a heavily cut star pattern. It measures about 7" with the stopper on but I don't think it is the original stopper altho it makes a very nice appearance. The bottle is in very nice antique condition with no mars but the top has a chip on the part that goes into the bottle on the very end. Altho it looks very nice, I don't think it is the original stopper. The bottle itself is very nice and even with that top will be beautiful to display.

Heavy and facilitated cutting by lending a softness to the"metal" The pieces were hand blown then kiln cooled. Skilled cutters would cut each and every miter in the design with steel wheels with sand and water dripping on them, then stone wheels to smooth the large cuts, then various sizes of stone wheels to make the different size cuts, then wooden wheels with pumice on them to polish and finally felt wheels with rotten stone and water to do the final polish. The work was done in assembly line fashion with various specialists performing each stage. It was truly labor intensive. World War I signaled the end of the period. Today American Cut Glass is one of the most sought after art forms. The supply of high quality pieces is limited. But it is a collecting arena that can be enjoyed by any level of collector. It measures 4 3/4" high, and 6 1/4" across at widest. It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks, only some shallow flakes within the cutting, this one isn't all banged up like a lot of pieces in this pattern, it is really decent, the worst flake is on the very bottom, so it doesnt stand out. This pattern was made by Dorflinger, Hawkes, and Hoare, so I am not sure who made it, but is a great cut with fine small hobstars within the design. The bowl has a flaw or signature(see photo)engraved beside the handle otherwise no other marks I can find. The bowl has a miter flower cut on the bottom with cane cuts inside and diamond point cuts around it. The border has tear drop cuts with hobstars and a single cut flower between them, the handles have round cuts down either side and cross cuts down the back, the top has a flat thumb cut. This is a nice squat decanter by J. Hoare. Not a cataloged pattern. But that is not uncommon for Hoare or Hawkes or many companies. Nice pleasing form that is not common. Which makes this nice. Has a double punty cut handle. The neck has a faceted neck ring. The stopper is oversized and cut with notched miters and punties. It is definetely original and adds a lot to the decanter. The glass is first class quality. The blank is heavy. Clear and brilliant. Beautiful and collectible piece! The decanter measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches diameter. It is in excellent condition with no damage. American Brilliant Period 1876-1916 No Reserve! American Brilliant cut glass was made in the United States from roughly 1876-1916. It is an art form that we believe Americans did better than anyone in the world. The craftsmanship that went into these ... morepieces is amazing. They were hand created from start to finish. The formulas were carefully developed to produce the purest and whitest of blanks. The lead content in modern crystal is 24% American Brilliant is anywhere from 30-40% lead. This made the glass clear. Heavy and facilitated cutting by lending a softness to the"metal" The pieces were hand blown then kiln cooled. Skilled cutters would cut each and every miter in the design with steel wheels with sand and water dripping on them, then stone wheels to smooth the large cuts, then various sizes of stone wheels to make the different size cuts, then wooden wheels with pumice on them to polish and finally felt wheels with rottenstone and water to do the final polish. The work was done in assembly line fashion with various specialists performing each stage. It was truly labor intensive. World War I signaled the end of the period. Today American Cut Glass is one of the most sought after art forms. The supply of high quality pieces is limited. But it is a collecting arena that can be enjoyed by any level of collector. Description Beautiful bell shaped cut glass paste jar with sterling silver lid. The glass is cut with a diamond pattern around the upper portion. A Vintage Goebel Lead Crystal Dresser Box. Measures 5 1/4" in diameter and 3 1/4" in height. The bottom is marked Goebel. It's very pretty and quite heavy for its size-the pictures don't do it justice. CONDITION: There are two flakes on the inner rim of the lid and three pinprick nicks on the inner ledge of the bowl portion. The bottom has some surface scratches from display. I purchase all of my items at auctions. Estate sales and flea markets so cannot be sure of their history or whether they've come from smoke-free or pet-free homes. Antique ABP American Brilliant Crystal Cut Glass Large Wine Water Carafe Pitcher Description: American Brillian t Period cut glass water pitcher is quite heavy with a notched hexagon shaped neck. Carafe is near mint condition with no chips or cracks. There are some light scratches on the underside from normal use. Jug measures 8 inches tall. 2-3/4 inch diameter rim, and 6 inches in maximum diameter. Bottom surface measures approximately 3 inches in diameter. Bottom is polished and cut with a 12 point star pattern. Cut decor is a combination of 4 geometric stars with V shaped file. Cane, and button trimmings in between. Glassware is unmarked and true age/ maker unknown. Libbey and several others made similar. Total Weight: 3 pounds 7 ounces. Acquired from an avid collector of ABP cut glass.
