A bit dirty and unpolished but they'll clean up nicely. The rims on the salt cellars are marked"STERLING" and have British hallmarks. The backs of the spoons are also marked"925 STERLING" The glass of the salts is beautiful, especially with natural light shining through all the cut facets. They have a few typical nicks and flecks but no major chips or other damage. Each salt is 1 1/8" high and about 1 7/8 inches at the widest point. The spoons are 2 1/2 inches long. This is vintage glassware that I recently picked up at an estate auction of a wealthy elderly couple. I suspect that his is lead crystal and not cut glass but I can not find any maker marks on it. Exceptional Set of 4 Fine Cut Wheel Engraved Gilt Bohemian Lobmeyr/ Meyr's Neffe Cordial Glass Goblets/ Aperitifs. This is a fine set of Bohemian goblets. The crystal glass rings like a bell and is wheel engraved and gilded. The photos show design elements very well. The body of the goblets have 10 flute panel cuts which are outlined in gold gilding as well. They have a blown knop stem and a bell shaped pedestal base with rolled rim. Attributed to Lobmeyr for Meyr's Neffe. You won't find a finer set. All in great condition. No chips or cracks, there is a fleck of a rough spot on the top edge of bottom rolled rim. Only felt with finger and mentioned for complete accuracy. It is gilded at the rough spot, so may be original to manufacture. Again, very minor. you will not be disappointed. Antique Venetian glass lidded container/jar. Ruby cased cut glass. Beautiful.
Photographed is a high quality piece of Venetian glass. It measures 14 cm in height and has a base diameter of 9.5 cm. It is made from transparent glass with a ruby casing. The ruby glass is cut to reveal the shapes as light catching crystal glass. It is very effective and decorative. I would think that this piece dates to the early 20th century. I have not seen another like it so I cannot be sure. I would be interested to find out more if anyone has any information. It has some very minor damage as can be seen in the third photograph. This is for the 2 cups shown. They are made by Duncan and Miller. With a pressed Star and Diamond pattern, known as#40. I believe this is cut glass. This pattern was started in 1891, but I don't know the ages of these cups. No issues. Ground and polished base. They measure 3" in diameter and 2.25" tall. Please judge the condition by the photos. Vintage Cut Glass Lead Crystal Tall Corset Hourglass Vase Deep cuts ..stunning!
This auction is for a stunning cut glass corset flower vase. Unmarked and design unknown to myself. The cuts are deep and the glass is beautifully etched. I find this vase to be similar to those produced by Hawkes, Pairpoint, Tuthill, etc. however I cannot confirm this and it was probably made much later such as the 1960s. The vase is 8 inches tall and 3 ½ inches wide at the top. The rim has a nice U-shape scalloped edge. There is a 16 point starburst base. This vase pings like a charm! I find this vase to be in EXCELLENT condition. I have found no chips or cracks. Simply stunning! I accept Paypal only and I ship to the lower 48 states. This is a superb cut to clear wine goblet in yellow cut to clear. Yellow is a very scarce color in cut glass. I am not certain the color is showing true in these photographs. But in person these are positivley a rich and brilliant yellow. The cup is cut primarily in a diamond layout. There are large starred diamonds and these alternate with strawberry diamond cut diamonds. The top are finished with large fans. The stem portion is cut with St. Louis diamond. The base is star cut. The St Louis diamond stem portion is a trait of early Straus and I imagine these to be their work. Beautiful quality blanks. The wine goblet is 5 1/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches diameter. It is in excellent condition with no damage. The craftsmanship that went into these pieces is amazing. They were hand created from start to finish. The formulas were carefully developed to produce the purest and whitest of blanks. The lead content in modern crystal is 24% American Brilliant is anywhere from 30-40% lead. This made the glass clear. Heavy and facilitated cutting by lending a softness to the"metal" The pieces were hand blown then kiln cooled. Skilled cutters would cut each and every miter in the design with steel wheels with sand and water dripping on them, then stone wheels to smooth the large cuts, then various sizes of stone wheels to make the different size cuts, then wooden wheels with pumice on them to polish and finally felt wheels with rottenstone and water to do the final polish. The work was done in assembly line fashion with various specialists performing each stage. It was truly labor intensive. World War I signaled the end of the period. Here is a very pretty cut crystal glass tall vase. It measures 13" tall. Has a 5" base and flutes out to 6" at the top. This came from my mother-in-laws collection. My wife thinks it was a wedding gift for her parents back in'64. She always remembers it sitting in a display cabinet as a kid. I don't see any makers marks, logos or distinguishing marks anywhere on it. This might be VERY old, or old from the 60's, we really don't know. It's 6" in diameter and 1.5" at its tallest. Some of the sawtooth edges and tips have wear or chips on close inspection-the rest of the bowl is fine. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age. Please note that my shipping time is up to 5 business days as I have multiple jobs and can only ship one day a week. a beautiful antique chandelier. Gilded golden brass, two rings. There are an abundance of tear-pear drop with one flower drop crystal, beautiful solid crystals not new, vintage, however. There are two small holes every other pear drop crystal, which do not have a crystal, this is because if u put in more of the tear drop crystals they are jumbled up, so i have left these two free holes, doesnt notice when hung up, simply would look nice if there were more crystals. i would think that this chandelier probably had icicle crystals which are much narrower. diameter 8" drop 5.5" Chain length 9" I sell a lot of vintage retro lights.
