We ... moreended up with a HUGE collection of antique dental items. We will be putting them up over the next few weeks. Check back to see them all. Up in this auction is a great find. We have a set of four antique Odol Milk glass bottles from the late 1800's. Two of the bottles are marked on the bottom with"Odol" and the other one"Patent. The ones stamped"patent" were most likely used for Irex Tooth Powders where were placed on the market by the proprietors of Odol. All have a hand finished lip, with a ground top. The hand finished top and blown into mold bottle dates to the late 1800's. Later version of these Odol products were used by the German soldiers, Wehrmacht, during WWII for their personal toiletries. They stand at approx. 4 1/6" tall x 2 1/8" wide. The bottles are octagon shaped bottles with its distinctive left-facing opening, and all are stamped with"M" and 3 digit numbers on the bottom right. There is toning and slight scuffing on the glass, and they could use good cleaning. Be sure to look at all of our photos. Good Luck! Old Vintage Milk Glass& Wire Measure Dosage? C3C DSANO Phila Dental Products I'm telling you. I have a bunch of old medical and dental come find me recently, and this one, I'm calling vintage in my title, but I do think that it's old enough to be antique- I just couldnt' find another like it, nor could I find any information on the company. I am not completely sure what it is- first, I thought it was some type of physician dosage spoon, so I was surprised to see on the inside that it's actually an old dental piece. It has measure lines that go from 1 to three inside of the well, and then a logo that has c3c on top of the oval shaped logo- all in blue, it reads, Superior Sanitary Scientific Dental Products DSANO Philadelphia. So, dental, it is! It's made from two pieces- a wireware stand made from twisted wire, ... moreand a very thin light milk glass cup that sits inside the wire, raised from the table. The cup measures 1 15/16" diameter at the top and 1 5/8" tall from the top of the mouth to the bottom of the well. There's a 1/8" shallow chip to the mouth that I'm showing you in photo 11. It's so small, it's hard to see without magnification, and it could be sanded down if you wanted to- I'd leave it though. I noticed that the number 1 and line on the inside of the well has faded, with the others being bright and don't appear to be faded. it measures 4 1/4" long from the end of the cup to the looped end of the wire that appears to be a handle as well as a stand. It's light, weighing only an ounce or so. I'm guessing you know more about this one than I do. I just thought it was a very cool and unusual piece. Customer Satisfaction is extremely important to me. Yet this auction is for JUST THE 3 white MILK GLASS bottles that are pictured in the top of the Caulk's case, the Caulk's case and ALL the other bottles are NOT PART OF THIS LISTING. Again, this listing is just for the 3 white MILK GLASS bottles that are pictured in the top of the Caulk's case. Nothing else! Bottles: A total of three(3) antique WHITE MILK GLASS bottles with WHITE MILK GLASS stoppers that are all about 3" tall and have printing on them. 1910-1920 Dental Colgate's "Good Health" Milk Glass Advertising Mortar
Small 1-7/8x 1-1/4" milk glass tooth paste mortar for tooth brush. Neat early 1900's advertising piece. I believe used to mix tooth powder into paste with water using your toothbrush. I've seen these in milk glass as accessory items on turn of the century dental cabinets, but without the raised script advertising. They sometimes come with a small glass for rinsing that rests inside the bowl of the mortar. There are a few chips on the edges and some discolorations on the base and top. Two sides read"Colgates" and the opposite sides read"Good Health" Old seldom seen item.
