Rare Antique De Trey's Caulk Dental Box , Bottles & Teeth
This item is a rare De Trey's old caulk bottle box with about 29 bottles. Tooth molds and teeth set molds. As you can tell by now, I am not a Dentist. The box is almost 12 inches wide and is marked De Treys. There are 14 small De Trey bottles all with raised markings and some with labels also. There are another group of bottles mostly marked with a big W and what looks to be 2 Ss. The 3 large bottles on the right side of the photo in the back row and only marked with numbers on their bases. There are 15 individual teeth molds and 5 teeth sets. There are also a few extra tops. This listing is for a small apothecary bottle with a glass stopper. The bottle has a paper label around the neck that reads“The L. D. Caulk Co. mfg. agts. for N. S. America and Japan. 6, full portion powder, keep corked. The label on the indented panel reads“De Trey’s, synthetic, full portion powder, 6- yellowish-light- gray. The stopper is embossed“Caulk” and“dTe” symbol, and the bottle is embossed“De Trey’s synthetic porcelain, mfd by the L. C. Caulk Co. The base is embossed 68 or 89. The bottle is in good condition but the stopper is stuck, it still contains some caulk. There is some fine cotton wrapped around the neck. The bottle measures approximately 2 ½” tall.

9 1/2 by 9 1/4 by 5 1/2" jointed wooden box. I would guess c 1910. The bottom drawer is empty, top compartment missing one bottle. The glass slab for mixind product has a large chip at one corner as shown. Box exterior and hardware in EXC cond, the interior piece of wood with the cut out to hold bottles has some delaminating and needs a bit of glue. All items guaranteed as described.
