Location: Gadsden, United States Pelton Crane 840C/ 420C Dental Compressor Head Description. The Pelton& Crane 420-C and 840-C both use the same compressor heads. Both compressors ... moreare basically the same thing. But the 840-C has two heads and a larger tank. The part that you see in this listing is one 3/4 HP head unit. That will fit an 840-C and a 420-C. The unit is an oil-cooled compressor with an attached 3/4 HP motor. This unit is a little older and it's been used. But these heads are ridiculously expensive(usually around $1000 new) The unit is in great cosmetic condition with a little paint loss here and there. Nothing looks to be obviously broken or damaged. I hooked it up to a power source. Tested it and found it to be in good working order. Keep in mind that I was only able to check if it ran or not, I don't have the knowledge, tools, or equipment to do any further tests. This dental device was made by the George P. Pilling& Son Co. of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania. The company was founded in 1814 and I believe is still selling dental& medical equipment. I believe this is early 1900's. I have tested it, the motor and everything runs fine. It has it's original belt in great condition, marked Pilling, Phila. There are hoses missing and the existing are pretty brittle. The metal belt wheel and another cylinder are comprimised, the metal is breaking. Can be seen in the photos. I ran it with the belt on and it ran fine. The glass bottles are both fine, no breaks or cracks. The electric cord nedds a wall plug end. The base is 14" by 13" stands 8 5/8" tall. Antique C. M. Sorensen Co. Dental Air Compressor, No. 17810, Steampunk, Works! Piece measures measures approximately 11 3/4"W x 11 3/4"D x 20"H. Device was made by: C. M. Sorensen Co. Inc. Manufacturers, New York" 110 volt 60 cycle AC motor. Machine No. 17810. There are three pistons attached to an equally distributed cam shaft that is attached to a fly wheel that is belt driven by a very early AC electric motor. Motor has been plugged in briefly and the motor still works and cylinders still pump air. Underneath the wood base is carved the name: Edgar S. Baughm" Name is also engraved under the metal base holding the pumps. There is a crack in the metal of the base that is holding the motor, but this does not effect its operation. I have an antique air compressor. Not sure of age, my guess and from what people have told me is it may be from the 1940's/50's. It was made by montgomery wards and has original plaque card with serial number and specs. It was my grandfather's compressor and was left to me along with a bunch of his old shop tools. I have had my fun with it, it fires right up and works like a charm. I always thought it had a cool retro look and have displayed it for some time now. However, my man cave is now becoming my new born son's room so i need to let some things go, still got a few of grandpa's tools to pass down. I think it would make a great conversation piece, not to mention it actually works, just have to slide the old belt with palm of your hand to prime it and she starts working.

Antique PELTON& CRANE Dental Duomatic Air Compressor MODEL: A610 CUTLER HAMMER MOTOR CONTROL WAGNER ELECTRIC CORP. St Louis on motor We plugged it in and the motor& wheel runs quiet and smooth. Will need some cleaning. Was out in barn for very long time. This one is not rusty like the other because it was inside its cover, please see other photos of that if you are interested in having that. This one has the belt which rolled along without problem. No tube. Air comes out fine. We do have the tank& Top cover that goes with this compressor and will list them separately due to size and weight if anyone is interested. Great also for steampunk. WOW! Change your tune! BRUNNER Westinghouse antique air compressor Ca.1920 pump!
Up for your consideration. A truly fantastic example of the golden age of Industry! This item is an antique air compressor precision made. Ca. 1920, by the renowned Brunner Mfg. Co. of Utica, NY. Rarer than a hen's tooth. This early, early, early machine is all intact and weighs 100 pounds! Make sure you examine the photos carefully. And I'm sure you'll agree that this piece is of museum quality. The design, from the long slender push rods to the original black paint, tapered spindle wooden handle to the rear iron wheels and the forward bullet-shaped Westinghouse motor, is unique and reminds me of a locomotive/steam engine train! Condition is very good with all parts present and original. Gear driven. The gears turn freely. As well as the motor shaft and compressor piston.Gear teeth are not worn or chipped. The original"Perkins" ... moredial on/off switch has a cracked bakelite insulator but, does click on and off! Air hose is age cracked and plug is missing for electrical cord. This has not been started as wiring for the switch is frayed and needs to be replaced. Brunner decal on air tank is fair with wear, but BRUNNER is clearly visible. Overall, however this should be an easy restoration. The Westinghouse electic motor has multiple patent dates of 1914. 1916, 1917, and 1919! Here's an excellent opportunity to acquire an outstanding. Vintage CLEVE-DENT Antique Brass Dental Old Dentist Air Compressor Pump Science
This vintage Cleve-Dent(is stamped-into compressor end) Dental or Dentist air compressor pump was made of painted brass and some other type of non-magnetic metal and is heavy for its size. It is approximately 4-1/4 inches tall while the pulley is 3 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch wide. Good used condition with some surface oxidation. Paint loss and wear. Antique Dentist Office Air Compressor Dentistry Tool Electro Dental Mfg Emerson
For sale is an antique Electro Dental Mfg Co office size air compressor. Unit came from the estate of a local man so I don't know much about it's history. The unit powers on a runs good(belt is a little loose) I believe it needs a new gauge. It is powered by a 1/8 HP Emerson Motor. Some rust can be found mainly on the top. The outer case has a few dents and dings but most of these I have seen are missing the case all together. Would make an excellent hobby size compressor or a great restoration project. OLD Antique Electric Motor for Ritter Air Compressor - dental instrument
This motor runs(the third photo shows it running) But it will not start spinning on its own: you have to turn it on. Then twirl the shaft manually to get it going. After that. It runs fine and is very smooth, with no suspicious noises or smells. the brushes barely even spark when the motor is running. It is only 1/6HP and measures 9 1/2" long. 8" wide, and 8 1/2" tall. It does have some paint loss from age. Please allow for it to ship to your street address. Not a p.o. box.

Here is a fairly old Dentist air pump. It was manufactured by the Ritter Dental Equipment Company. I do not know how old it is or if it was for pumping. Or vacuum. It does turn, and makes pumping sounds. All shipping is to be paid by buyer. I am selling in auction just the top mounted compressor, if buyer wants to pay shipping on the electric motor, and the valve in-between, I would let them have them reasonable, if bidding become elevated, above say $50, buyer may have the motor for shipping costs.
