Description Wonderful antique Ransom Randolph wood traveling dental cabinet/ case. This great old case is made of oak. And has not been refinished to my knowledge. It has seven drawers: the top three drawers have pop-up divided trays for dental instruments; the bottom four have divided compartments, and include several removable storage pieces. Brass plate on top says“The Ransom Randolph Co. Toledo, Ohio/ Pat. Apl’d For” Case measures approximately 13” tall. 11” long, and 9” wide. The hardware appears to be original, and it has most of an original key that is partially broken(the head is missing) I have not tried to use the key, as I’m afraid to push it all the way inside the lock for fear of not being able to get it back out. Cosmetically. Vintage George Pillings Mahogany Wood Portable Dentist Cabinet with 9 Drawers, Here's a neat antique"George P. Pilling& Son" portable dentist cabinet. It measures 9 3/4" x 14 1/2" across the base and 10 3/4" high. It is marked on the brass tag on the top with"Made by"George P. Pilling& Son Co. Philadelphia USA" There are 9 drawers with the top 4 drawers having dividers. The outside of the case is a mahogany wood. All of the drawers are wood except for the bottoms with appear to be tin. The front self stores when you slide it under the drawer area. It is in used-vintage condition. There are scratches. Dings, dings and wear. The leather covering over the metal handle is pretty much all worn away. We do not have a key for this so the door can"flop" open sometimes. There is a tiny ... moreportion of the lock sticking out which can slightly lock this but you can open it with your finger bur lightly pushing down on the door to open it. When we ship this, we will just slide the door underneath the drawers so this cabinet doesn't totally lock! We show what we mean in our next to the last picture. There is discoloration-surface rust on the bottom of the drawers. All the drawers open nicely. Small American Cabinet Co. Arts & Crafts Dental Jewelry Cabinet Mission Oak
I think that this was originally designed as a locking dental cabinet(there is still an old dental drill bit rolling around in one drawer) but it would also make a fantastic jewelry cabinet with the addition of some felt or velvet lining. It is made of quarter-sawn oak and has miniature glass knobs. It measures approx. 11" wide by 8 1/2" deep by 13 1/4" high and has 7 drawers. Some of them fitted with dividers. It is marked on the top with a stamped brass tag which reads"American Cabinet Co. Wood Goods" Condition wise, I'd give it about a 7 out of 10 as it is solid but has some chips and dings(I do believe they would look acceptable if colored in) the metal holder on the side has some surface rust, and the original leather carrying handle on the top is torn. One of the glass knobs appears to be red, but it is ... morejust paint on the back side of the knob which might be original. The drawers lock with a rod which passes down through the top and then through the back panel of each drawer, the rod being locked into place with a mortised lock- I don't have the key. ONE-OF-A-KIND Aseptic Dental Cabinet by Lee S. Smith& Son Co of Pittsburgh USA. The lower metal tag says"The Bown Steel Dental Cabinets; Patented April(13 or 15) 1909" The cabinet clearly needs to be refurbished. The rust appears to be on the surface only. I have not found any spots where it is rusted through the metal. The glass in all doors is original. And the upper right door has"Sterilizer" etched on the glass and the original metal tray shelves are there. The photos show the trays and the glass shelves are switched and the lower cabinet glass shelves are missing but can be replaced through any glass company. All hinges and locks are original, but no keys, but can easily be replaced also. The original half-circle waste can is included and there is an access door on the side that is not like any other cabinet available. ... moreI have decided not to refurbish because I know that a collector would want it done their way through someone they trust. I have done a lot of searching and have only found some that are larger and some that are much smaller; a slightly larger one in particular sold for $12.500. This is the only one that is this size and of this model. Therefore I am classifying it as ONE-OF-A-KIND. It was used in a home dental office in a house that my grandparents bought in the 1950's or 60's. The dentist using it was retiring. I do not know who he was. But the equipment was left behind and my father kept it. Many people told him to haul it to the dump but he always told me it might be worth something. He died in 2012 and left it to me, before his oldest granddaughter(my daughter) got engaged to a man he really liked. I think he would be so happy to know that I could sell it to help pay for her wedding, since he could not. So in a way, he is helping! There is also a wooden register from the 1920's that I am also selling. It was also part of this dentist office. Please search for my other auction to check it out.

This is a Lee Smith& Sons Aseptic Dental Cabinet by The Bown Steel Co. Pittsburgh. PA. This is a very rare piece that was manufactured between 1900 and 1909. The glass doors are beveled and are hung on very unique heavy gauge circular hinges. There are 6 drawers that swing open and are mounted on circular hinges. The two bottom doors also use the same hinges. The hinges and knobs are brass and the complete piece is in good condition overall. Please note that although there is paint missing this cabinet is not rusted. It has been stored indoors in a smoke free home. Shipping could be arranged at the buyer's expense. Mahogany Dental Cabinet 1929
Consigned to me to sell is a Vintage dental cabinet by American Cabinet Co. Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Described in literature I found online as Console style Model 150. This is an extremely rare cabinet as it was first offered in 1929. The year of the stock market crash. I doubt many of them were purchased that year. I've researched this item and, except for advertisements, can not find another like it. A key component of this cabinet is that it has 3 banks of 7 drawers. 21 drawers. Other models prior to and after consist of only two banks of drawers and not three. Wood front steel drawers are graduated in size. Top section consists of three decorative doors behind which are porcelein shelves. Made of hardwood. I believe mahogany, this piece has been previously painted and then stripped. Please see photos as some residual material is still ... morevisible. This would be an even more stunning piece if refinished. Even as is, it is a wonderful rare collectable piece. The knobs are black pressed glass. Height is 58" H overall. 50" W, 14" deep. Distance from floor to workspace is 39" Condition note: small charring mark near right side door from candle being left on the console. Should be a relatively easy repair. Decorative support posts seen in advertisements are not on this piece. However there are holes in the bottom of the top piece indicating that a space was made for these, however it is not clear that there were ever any on this piece. Interior steel drawers have been painted. Local pickup available in Wellfleet. MA. I will work with your shipper if you prefer to have the item freighted to you. There are three chips(third one is smaller and I didn't notice it before I took the pics. Antique ca 1900 T.H. Grigg Bracket Table Denist Dental Cabinet Case
Antique ca 1900 T.H. Grigg Bracket Table/ Cabinet for Dentists. Patented 1893. Measures approx. 14" square by 4" high. This table is in fair to good condition for its age in my opinion. It has wear on the felt top. Scratches/ finish loss, a slight gap between the top and base at one corner and and a gap at the trim joint of another corner. This has two sides opposite of each other that pivot down to open for holding instruments etc. The third side has 2 shallow drawers and a corrugated tray. The 4th has one deep drawer. All the drawers open and close no problem. The pics are of the table. Please view them and form your own opinion as to condition. vintage Ritter dental Xray machine pedistal 30s industrial steampunk cabinet age
X-ray machine base with controls and swiveling meters intact from a 1930's unit. Cabinet has a cast metal base and top with a steel frame and sheet metal body. Measures about 46" tall by 14" wide. Ritter also made xray equipment for other medical purposes. Plug is intact but the transformer is still wired in so that should be bypassed if you want to alter into a lamp of use with other 110 devices. Great mad scientist laboratory look. Color is light grey. There is a small porcelain socket to light the red jewel at the top front to indicate that the power is on. Sturdy and weighs over 100 pounds so no shipping. Very nice Antique 1920's Mahogany Dental Cabinet. It appears to be manufactured by The American Cabinet Company around the 1920's. This cabinet has the original milk glass shelving. Top, and glass knobs. The marble base has a crack on the right side of the cabinet. This cabinet has a marble base and mahogany wood. This is a old crack due to the marble colors. This Dentist cabinet has 22 drawers of various sizes with enameled white interiors and also has a secret compartment drawer that they told me the Dentist used to hide the money. This secret drawer has the welded brackets but missing the piece of wood that would lie on top of the brackets to make the false space) The cabinet also has three upper glass doors along with the original beveled mirror. It still smells like a Dentist's medicine cabinet. Open the drawers or top doors ... moreand you can smell different medicine odors. Dimensions: 40" wide. 12.5" deep and 63" tall. The cabinet came from Estate and it looks very good. It has a small nick and scratch on the top left corner. The old marble has a crack in the right side of the base. One-of-a-Kind. Victorian Dental Cabinet with unique features. Made by Ransom& Randolph, Toledo, Ohio. Rounded glass sliding door contains three round 12-inch wood trays that pivot out on metal arms. Slide out writing board. Slide down, 4 row bur holder. Slide up glass door for 3 pharmacy shelves. Swing out glass door for a pull out"Buggy-Box" for making house calls. Buggy Box contains 7 drawers. The 4 cabinet pull out drawers, all dovetailed. 1 flip-down wood door for storage area. Brass hardware. 2 sides are raised panel. The back is finished in flat panel so designed to be free-standing. Front feet are round with scalloped design. Wear on one corner, looks like where the dentist pushed in the drill bits. Please carefully view photos for you to assess condition. Note that there are some ink or medicine stains in the wood but ... morethat, to me, lends authentic charm. This piece is in very good condition. All the detail in this item can not be captured completely through the photos. Measures 33-inch wide. 22-inch deep and 72-inch high. This was a top-of-the-line cabinet. In its day. The rounded glass door is unique. All the doors and drawers that pull up, down, swing out were special. The workmanship makes it a fine piece of furniture, far more than just a piece of old dental equipment. Found a NSF check, in the cabinet addressed to Dr. Walters, in Iowa, dated Nov. 1926. Rare unusual 6 drawer Dentist cabinet by S.S.White loaded with.teeth.There are a couple tools some papers and lots of replacement teeth. Many are imbedded into wax covered cards from the factory.some are just loose. Departures Teeth Patent one of the cards says. The cabinet is in fantastic original condition and looks to be cherry or mahogany. Deep dark red with lots of grain. Its been built with precision and highly crafted. The top removes.the drawer section.and a base. You must have been able to add sections like the old file cases and Lawers Book cases. There is a small key lock on one side. If you had a key you could lock all 6 drawers in one click. the knobs are brass and the tag reads S.S.White Dental MFG Co. It is 14 inches wide x 12 inches deep and 10 inches tall.
