Antique 1909 Human Teeth Set In Wax Display Dentistry Dentist Science Medical
This auction is for a group of 26 human teeth set in black wax type material. I find a date of 1909 and other writing on them. The wax stuff has melted a little on some pieces as shown. I think the teeth will clean up very nice. They look dirty from the black waxy stuff leaving residue on them. I will let new owner decide. There as also a little brush with them. I am not sure what it is for. This was a medical or science display back then. These come from a historical Duluth Minnesota estate.

RARE Vintage KERN Surgical / Dentistry Tool Antique Extraction Dental Surgery
Up for auction today is what I think is a vintage surgical/ Dentistry tool. It is marked KERN-USA-PAT-PEND on the outside of each handle. The pliers looking portion measures 7” long and the hook portion measures 11” long. The patent pending shows it age. I am not sure exactly what this was used for but KERN made tools for dentistry and surgery. I did not clean these and left the original patina( and probably DNA) on the tool. The handles have a nice knurling and would look great polished. The hook portion has the name RALPH stamped on it. Please see photos to determine condition. The print is a wood engraving printed in 1895. The print is matted in a 10 X 8 inch mat and is ready to be framed in a standard size 10 X 8 inch frame. The mat opening measures 5 X 3 1/2 inches. The sheet is in good condition aside from age toning and being trimmed on the bottom edge. The image is titled"At Little Pedlington. JOnes. Do you use gas? Village Operator. Yes. This nightmare inducing device was made to last with a sturdy and beautiful decorative cast iron base and pulley wheel and has original paint and striping. The paint is chipped in places on the base. Some of the striping is faded and the heel of the pedal has broken off. All pulley wheels spin freely and the arm folds and moves easily. Sorry no pulley cable. Antique brass dental flask casting tray This is a super cool antique dental casting mold tray. I believe the patent on this is from 1929. It was manufactured by Tench-Donham B.D.M. Co. in Buffalo. New York. This weighs almost 3 pounds. The lid of the device comes off to reveal the interior where dental molds were placed. The middle ring is also removable. This piece appears to have been used. There is some plaster residue that remains. There is some kind of stamp mark on the top and bottom of this but I do not know what it means. I think this would make a fun storage container for little things like nails and screws or buttons. It's definitely a conversation starter and will get attention! This antique dentist's tool is called a"key" tooth extractor because of the unique design that increases the leverage to easily roll the tooth out of the socket. This particular extractor has an unusual rare double gripper that can be used in both directions in two different sizes. This style of tool was commonly in use by mid 1800's and into the 1920's and in some places a lot later. Imagine the degree of pain that you would have to be suffering in order to let your teeth be pulled with this torturous but very clever device.

This sign was at one point used to advertise for a Dr. R. G. Lamb who was a dentist. We were unable to find any information on Dr. Lamb or his practice, unfortunately. The sign is in shabby chic condition, with oxidization on the sign and frame, and some parts of the original frame missing entirely. This is still a fantastic piece, however, that has an antique charm to it that disregards its condition! This sign measures approx. 24.25" x 10.5" and weighs approx. 10.5 pounds. Antique Dental "The Bridge" Contour Crown Press by John Hood Co. Dentistry Item
I purchased this old Contour Crown Press at a local estate sale and the patent date on the front is April 7. 1908 by the John Hood Co. It measures 5 inches tall when fully retracted and the base measures a little over 3 1/4 inches across and 2 1/2 inches wide. This heavy piece weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces. It still has most of the original gold paint. The black painted portion shows some wear and paint loss but overall, for the age, it is in very good condition. A nice addition to your dentistry collection. Will be shipped in the medium flat rate priority mail box.

For sale is an antique Electro Dental Mfg Co office size air compressor. Unit came from the estate of a local man so I don't know much about it's history. The unit powers on a runs good(belt is a little loose) I believe it needs a new gauge. It is powered by a 1/8 HP Emerson Motor. Some rust can be found mainly on the top. The outer case has a few dents and dings but most of these I have seen are missing the case all together. Would make an excellent hobby size compressor or a great restoration project. Up for auction is a vintage antique primitive woodenware Cutwell Engine Burs dentistry box. Made by Ransom& Randolph Co, Toledo, OH.This would held 36 doz. Burs when new. This primitive advertising piece was recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area. It is found in good to very good used condition. There are 37 openings in the interior, of which 36 are the same size, and measure approximately 1" x 3/4" in size. The other opening measured approximately 1" x 4 1/4" in size. Overall, the box measures approximately" x 9 3/4" x 5" x 2 3/8" in size. The only condition issue to discuss is that it probably had four feet on the base, which are now missing. There is some minor scratches throughout. The box is empty. A nice decorative piece for the collector of dental equipment. Some of them are in the original packages that are marked"Cutwell Burs" on one side and"Ransom and Randolph" on the other, most of these packages have been opened with some of the contents missing, others are loose inside the box with no boxes. Then others are inside plastic cases, the sizes look like they vary in width and length. These items are inside a box that is wooden and painted green, the inside of the box has red paint on the underneath part of the lid. The lid also has a handle attached to the front that looks like it maybe made of bakelite. The lid of the box has some black residue built up on it however I have not made any attempt to clean it.
