Antique 1909 Human Teeth Set In Wax Display Dentistry Dentist Science Medical
This auction is for a group of 26 human teeth set in black wax type material. I find a date of 1909 and other writing on them. The wax stuff has melted a little on some pieces as shown. I think the teeth will clean up very nice. They look dirty from the black waxy stuff leaving residue on them. I will let new owner decide. There as also a little brush with them. I am not sure what it is for. This was a medical or science display back then. These come from a historical Duluth Minnesota estate.

Up in this auction we have a lovely antique Dentist's trade ... moresign. We estimate it to be 1960's-70's. It seems to possibly have at one point in its time been illuminated. But it currently does not. This single sided sign is made of Plexiglas over a galvanized metal frame. The back of the sign has for various fasteners, some of which already have screws in them. This sign was at one point used to advertise for a Dr. R. G. Lamb who was a dentist. We were unable to find any information on Dr. Lamb or his practice, unfortunately. The sign is in shabby chic condition, with oxidization on the sign and frame, and some parts of the original frame missing entirely. This is still a fantastic piece, however, that has an antique charm to it that disregards its condition! This sign measures approx. 24.25" x 10.5" and weighs approx. 10.5 pounds. It was produced by Pelton Crane Co. and was called an Equipoised Operating light. The fixture has four original heavy holophane teardrop shades. Each lamp has a plunger dimming mechanism. The plunger is located on the top of each light canopy and can be raised or lowered depending on needed brightness. As you move the plunger the light seems to refract differently as the bulb is raised or lowered inside the shade. It has a procelain finial 4 way rotary switch that turns on one light. Then 2 lights, then 3 lights, and finally all 4 lights. The 4 bulb lamp head is also situated on a ball so that it can be twisted and turned for better viewing. The 4 bulb lamp head measures 22" at the ... morewidest point including globes. The fixture has the original black paint with gold pinstriping. Original wiring should probably be replaced.
