Antique 1900's Dental Stand Black Glass Iron Medical Table Vintage Industrial
Listing this evening a great old dentist's office item from the early 1900's. This particular stand was removed from a dentists office when he acquired a new"stainless steel" unit from his dental supply salesman sometime around 1955. The stand is 33 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide(at the widest point) and 14 1/4" deep. The frame is iron with glossy black paint. The shelves are made of clear thick plate glass that has had multiple coats of black paint applied to the underside of the glass. From a distance it would appear that the shelves are made of black glass. The condition of the iron is excellent(no breaks or rust) The condition of the glass is variable. The top shelf(16" x 14" has the most wear because it was obviously used more often. There are many scratches on the top shelf as well as some chips on ... morethe edges(see pics) The two lower shelves(12" x 10" are in better condition(less scratches and only 2 chips on the back of the lowest shelf) These stands don't come around very often because they were often thrown out when those new stainless steel stands appeared. Dental Drill Antique SS White Cable Engine Cast Iron Foot Manual Hand Piece 1903
Excellent antique dental drill. Has a patent date of March 17 1903. Has pictured cord that is knotted in a couple of spots and does not fit around wheels. When the top wheel is spun you can see/feel the cable spinning at the other end near the hand piece. But the inner part of the hand piece(where the bit would go) does not spin. I am not sure and make no guarantees of the potential or ease of refurbishment. The wheel turns nicely when the pedal is manipulated, and as a whole the unit seems like it would function well from pedal to end of cable with a belt attached. Weighs 23 lbs and stands 55" tall. Measurements are approximate. The piece will be shipped in 1 box, but 3 pieces as the crossbar and cable, center vertical shaft and the engine part seperate easily. Shipped insured with delivery confirmation.

Offered here is what I believe to be an antique piece of dental equipment dating from the later part of the 1800's. It is made of cast iron and has a plunger type pump on the front of it that I am guessing was used to create suction. It is labeled as being made by the Ransom& Randolph Co. from Toledo Ohio.The nickel plated gauge on it is to read vacuum and has"The Elgin" written on it. The two platforms on it may have held a glass jar of some sort but these are not included as it was missing them when I found it. There doesn't appear to be anything broken or missing other than what i have described.

There is a 10 inch tall cast iron dental press with a separate base for screwing to a table and this press is marked Vydon. There is a brass press with no name but has 3 markings on it and they are FCB-2, FCC60B, and FCB-1-A. There is a small Brass Dental mold that is marked"Just Acrynamel" and it looks like there is an impression of someones tooth inside so if you need a tooth this size you are all set. There is a larger brass dental mold marked O'D Mfg. Co.
