It operates smoothly with nice tight hinge but does have some obvious surface rust and pitting. This tool measures 7" in length. I rarely see these. I sold a small set of 19th century extraction tools on eBay about 6 years ago for nearly $12.000! I'm told that this one is more common than those, so I'm asking much less for it. 19th century Dental Extraction Forceps, M Wocher And Son
Up for sale is a pair of dental forceps. Both are stamped M Wocher and Son. From reading they were a minor surgical supplier during the Civil War and manufactured from 1840-1900. Both forceps have some pitting and rust but are straight. The forcep with the sharp edges in the middle used for maxillary molars has a little rough action opening and closing while the other is very smooth. CONUSA only. Thanks for looking. Posted with

Up for sale is a Snowden dental forcep. Snowden was a major supplier before and during the Civil War. This instrument is about 7 inches long. Has good action, and is straight. 19th Century Dental Extraction Forceps "Serpent & Crown Mark" (Collection Sale)
Over the next week or so I will be offering 18 different genuine 19th century forceps and other dental tools from a 30+ year collection. I have already sold many tins. Bottles, keys, molds and other dental antiques(check my sold listings) This pair has a hallmark I can't identify, it may have come from England as we traveled there often. Mild corrosion I have not tried to clean.
