Antique SS White Electric Desktop Dental Dentist Drill 1938 Nickel Plate Rare! Hi everyone. I have this rare SS White Electric Desktop Dentists Drill Today. This piece is extremely heavy so as not to fall off the desk onto the patient during the procedure. Excellent condition and running smoothly. This drill has 2 speeds on the model 11 motor. I can't say for sure that the high and low speeds work. It runs the same as far as I can tell with the way it sounds. I can't tell if the drill is spinning faster or not. The base has a plate on it that reads mount for SS White Electric Motor Laboratory Type. The base has a bit of corrosion on part of it. Pictured below. The arm is 4 pieces to accomodate about any angle or direction you need to get into for the procedure. There is a little bit of rust on the arms in a few places. So they resorted to daylight through the windows and this very rare spittoon, filling the bottom removable reservoir with water and using the hand pump for water to rinse the mouths of patients. Industrial Antique SS White Dentist Drill Dental Pulley Hook Vintage Steampunk
For your consideration is a section of an antique dental drill. Marked SS White. This section of the instrument would have been attached to the power source. Included here is the main black shaft(brass underneath) with mounting holes at the base, and two more nickel plated hinged shafts, each with double pulleys. There is a double hook at the top of one shaft and a drill bit at the bottom of the other. Top shaft rotates 90 degrees; bottom shaft rotates 180 degrees. In remarkable condition. Smooth functioning. A beautiful piece to collect, complete a set, or re-purpose for Industrial Interior. Measurements: black base arm 21" long. Middle arm 16.5" end arm 11.5" drill just over 6" double hooks 3.5" widest, pulley wheels 1/4 insert.

What I believe to be, an Antique Black Glass Round Dental Tray. It is not a dark amethyst, no light shows through the glass. On the back the tray is marked"Made in the U.S. of America" 336-368 and in the center is a large letter"W" with two letters"S" on top of the W. I believe this make to be for the Samuel Stockton White Dental Company. There is a ridge. Measuring about 5/8" wide, that goes around the bottom outer circumference of the tray. On the inside edge of this ridge is a chip measuring ... moreabout 9/16" long, 1/4" wide and less than 1/16" deep. I cannot find any other chips, cracks or repairs on the piece. This tray looks as if it has had very little use or was used with great care. The scratches are extremely few. There are also a couple of straw marks on the bottom. It measures approx. 14-1/2" in diameter and is about 3/4" tall. It is also quite heavy. This is a really nice S.S. White Dental Tray. The chip mentioned above in no way takes away from the appearance of the tray. To see the chip the tray has to be turned upside down and the bottom examined. Antique 1900's Dental Stand Black Glass Iron Medical Table Vintage Industrial
Listing this evening a great old dentist's office item from the early 1900's. This particular stand was removed from a dentists office when he acquired a new"stainless steel" unit from his dental supply salesman sometime around 1955. The stand is 33 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide(at the widest point) and 14 1/4" deep. The frame is iron with glossy black paint. The shelves are made of clear thick plate glass that has had multiple coats of black paint applied to the underside of the glass. From a distance it would appear that the shelves are made of black glass. The condition of the iron is excellent(no breaks or rust) The condition of the glass is variable. The top shelf(16" x 14" has the most wear because it was obviously used more often. There are many scratches on the top shelf as well as some chips on ... morethe edges(see pics) The two lower shelves(12" x 10" are in better condition(less scratches and only 2 chips on the back of the lowest shelf) These stands don't come around very often because they were often thrown out when those new stainless steel stands appeared. It's old! This was also in the same lot of dental tools& supplies dating back to maybe early 1900's-1920's or earlier. The S.S. White Dental MFG. CO. This little box contains a Screw Plate Holder the 2 taps are missing. I have no idea what function it performed! Slight rust, but should clean up nicely. The little box is original with a partial label. In small print reads, Recommended by Dr S. H. Guilford Dean of the Philadelphia Dental College"The box alone with partial label is a wonderful piece of history. Approx.3 11/16" x 1 1/2" x 9/16" I did some research on the history of(Informal) The Philadelphia Dental College. In 1856(Formal) The Philadelphia College of Dental Surgery became Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery. Who knows how long the informal name was used?Also I found out that"DOC Holiday" ... moregraduated from Philadelphia Dental College in 1872. I never found any information about Dr. S.H. Never saw a set of these before and they came out of a long time local collection. This is a Circa 1915 No 10 Assortment of Trubyte Crowns that were made by The Dentists Supply Company of New York City. They are in the original case which consists of 2 layers or tiers of crowns to be used by the dentist. By my calculations the Case is about 90 percent complete along with having 4 of 7 of the'crown posts' A wonderful dental display item and from a company that was founded in 1899 and still exists but under a different name I believe.
