TOOTH KEY 19th century DENTAL TOOL Puller Extractor PRIMITIVE sadistic OUCH!
ANTIQUE 19th Century TOOTH KEY- a DENTIST'S TOOTH PULLING DEVICE! Tooth extraction wasn't always the precise science we know today. Back when this tool was used. It was more of a REFINED ART- made possible by the MECAHNICAL ADVANTAGE afforded by the design of this implement, and often assisted by the judicious placement of the practitioner's KNEE or FOOT on the sorry patient's chest, for leverage. One would hope that in well-experienced hands, this procedure would be accomplished with merciful swiftness- and done correctly on the first attempt. Can you imagine the SOUND this would have made? Nostalgia aside. This TOOTH KEY has a TURNED wooden handle. Shaft and grabber/jaw/clamp business end are IRON. Shaft has some simple but elegant TOOLING/TURNINGS- this. And the lack of evidence of any plating, suggest a VERY EARLY DATE ... moreof use/manufacture: possibly PRE-CIVIL WAR ERA. An ORIGINAL and in GOOD CONDITION. Small amount of play in articulated jaw. A few tiny specks of light rust with overall salt/pepper patina. Cannot ship internationally EXCEPT by USPS EXPRESS because of tracking issues.

ANTIQUE MOTHER OF PEARL SILVER DENTAL LIP DEPRESSOR 19th Century - DENTAL TOOLS
We are pleased to offer an antique mother of pearl dental lip depressor. Measuring 10.5 cm(4 and 1/8” Many collectors have seen J.D. Chevalier’s large adult lip depressor from the first half of the 1800’s. I believe this one to be for a child because of its smaller size. The standard adult depressor is cumbersome and would have been too large for a small child's lip. The manufacture of smaller tools for children is well known in 19 th century. Even when children were the target market as seen in sewing collectables where tiny scissors, thimbles and sewing sets where made for smaller hands. There are no makers or origin marks at all on the metal. Although it does not look as old as Chevalier's production. I am not an expert in dental collectables, but a local museum did agree that it looked just like a smaller version of their antique ... morelip depressors(they had not seen a small one before) I have never seen another in the past 15 years of active worldwide searching and I consider this an extremely rare item. The specialist collector will appreciate that opportunities to acquire these unusual items do not come around as often as it did in the past. Hopefully it will make some collector's day! PAYMENT Paypal only. Earliest payment would be appreciated. But if not possible please make payment no later than 3 days after the auction end unless otherwise arranged with us. POSTAGE We post most week days. Packing will be in a cardboard box. Sent registered by Australia Post. We offer free shipping from Australia for this item. Buyers are responsible for fees or duties(if any) raised by your Customs dept on arrival in your country. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND ENJOY YOUR SEARCH ON EBAY

Antique Early Dental Mirror 19th Century ? Unusual Twig Handle Marked METLGLAS
This auction is for an unusual dental mirror or inspection mirror which has a heavy patina of age and is of unusual construction. I have researched the mark METLGLAS 44A9555 which is on the rear of the mirror. And this mirror could date from the late 19th Century(or perhaps Civil War Era) to early 20th Century. The mirror is approximately 7 inches in length, the mirror surface has an age related crack/rip through its surface and the surface of the mirror is discolored from age. The twig handle is very artfully done. Please look at the pictures carefully, as they are part of the description. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. Be sure to check my other auctions for rare ephemera. Will ship Priority Mail to be paid by the winning bidder.

19th Century Dental Tooth Extractor Pivoting / Rotating claw Puller Toothkey
19th Century Dental Tooth Extractor Pivoting/ Rotating claw Puller Toothkey Don't miss out on this One of a Kind Dental Antique Collectible! This is a SUPER RARE Tooth Extractor. I contacted a few collectors online and no one has seen this example before. It features a rare Rotating Claw. Typically these only have a hinge that allows movement in one direction. This piece has DUAL MOVEMENT. Also unique to this piece is a prominant gripping aid. I have not ever seen this on a Tooth Extractor before. There are no markings on this piece. The rosewood handle is in great condition. Would certainly be a centerpiece of any antique dental collection. I don't claim to be an expert in these items. But do research what I can. Antique Hand Forged Dental Tooth Extractor Tool - Early 19th Century Dentist
This wonderful. Early dental tool is constructed of hand forged cast iron and measures approximately 7& 1/4 inches in length. This is an unusual, primitive style of extraction tool with no discernable makers marks and likely dates to the pre-civil war era(by the 1860's most medical& dental tools began to be manufactured with nickel plate finishes) These pliers work easily and have a good feel in the hand. An interesting find from an early chapter in medical history. Please note that full payment is due within three days of purchase. Thank you for stopping by!

These three are marked with the'SWS' trademark and are stamped"The S.S. White Dental Mfg. Co. The shorter handles are 4 1/2" not including the end piece. These 5 are not marked. Antique Snowden Dental Instrument Tooth Extractor Pullers Forceps 19th Century?
A pair of antique dental tooth extraction pliers marked"SNOWDEN/ PHILA" Tool measures just under 7 inches long. It appears that various members of the Snowden family were engaged in the business of dental and surgical instrument manufacture in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania during a large portion of the 1800s, but I have no other detailed information on this particular tool. The tool was never plated and has what appear to be manually engraved grips on the handles, so this appears to be a relatively early pair of tooth extractors. Tool is used. But in very good condition and operates smoothly. There is some darkening of the metal, but no rust is present. The pictures show the condition of the item. Shipping for this item will be $6.00 via USPS Priority Mail within the USA. Payment must be made by PayPal. Item will ship as soon as payment ... moreis received. SIB.
