French twin bed with upholstered headboard
This is a beautiful french bed with a tufted headboard. I believe it is made of cherry but not certain. I have not seen a rail system like this before. It consists of a long steel rod with a hook on one end and threaded on the other. The hook is inserted into the footboard. The rod rests in a groove along the length of the rail, and the threaded end runs through the headboard. The large"nut" with a swivel handle then threads on to the rod. Each end of the rail has two dowels which support and align the rails. This system makes for a very solid bed. The bed is in quite good vintage condition with minor dings and rubs. Up for auction is a vintage/antique Drexel 4 piece bedroom set. This is nice sturdy furniture from the days when things were made to last. I believe my parents bought it in 1958 or 1959. I don’t know much about furniture but I’ll describe them as best I can. The dresser measures approx. 52” wide by 21” deep by 36” high. Has six deep drawers, and matching mirror. The top drawer on both sides has a sliding jewelry tray. Next is the chest of drawers. It stands approx.48” high by 20”deep by 36” wide. There are five drawers. Each a little deeper than the other from top to bottom, ranging from 4” to 18” The top drawer also has a sliding jewelry tray. Third is the night stand. Its dimensions are 28” high by 16” deep by 20” wide. It has one drawer and shelf space underneath. Last but not least is the regular size bed frame. I have the head and foot ... moreboards and the 2 side boards; however I don’t know what became of the slats that hold the mattress and box spring up. This set is used. It has some scratches and chips here and there. There is a reddish stain on the dressers top. Possibly from a perfume spill. Also, when I took the mirror off, I found a brown stain, for lack of a better description, that was hidden underneath that seems to have eaten part of the laminate. Outstanding mid century modern Robsjohn-Gibbings/ Widdicomb king headboard in cherry. Circa 1945-1955 I believe the wood is cherry and the headboard is in extremely nice original condition. There are no nicks in the veneer and only slight wear to the lacquer finish. The bed is signed with the John Widdicomb metal tag on the back bottom rail. T H Robsjohn-Gibbings worked as a designer for Widdicomb in Grand Rapids. Michigan from 1943–56. The period during which this headboard was made and it is likely his design. Each leaf is about 11 1/2 inches wide so when all three leafs are put in the table it measures about 6 foot 10 inches long. The table is about 2' 6" tall and 4 foot wide. The table top is in very nice condition as I would think the table pad was always on it. The table legs show wear from time and use(see pictures) The three leafs are in very nice condition also but one of the leafs has a chip on the edge. The chip measures about 1 inch by 3/8 inch wide. Six chairs are in good used condition showing wear from years of use. The main wear is across the top of the chairs where the handle is. The seat and spindles also chow wear and very from chair to chair. It also comes with a table pad that fits the whole ... moretable. It shows wear from age and one spot looks like a hot penny got sat on it. Still in good usable condition but each section shows some variety of wear, It looks like it was built in 1968 due to the stamp print on bottom of the chair. There are poles to the top if you wanted to have curtains or fabric. But look great as it is.

Cal King Wesley Allen Solid Brass Bed Frame For your consideration is this beautiful Wesley Allen Solid Brass Bed Frame. I purchased this in 1988 from a store in Orange County. Then selling water beds. I did use it with a water bed for years then changed it up to a Tempur-Pedic. Both of these were are heavy and this frame withstood the weight. I can't find anything closely resembling this frame on the web to give you an accurate market value. I paid in excess of $3K back then. Because of it's age it doesn't fall into an Antique category but it's a darn good representation. Description: The condition of this bed frame is very good. Check out the pictures closely… they tell the whole tale. The frame has all the original oval ceramic w/brass bed post finials. They have a beautiful floral pattern in rose. Purple, grey and green ... morewith a fine gold band top and bottom. There have actually been some available on eBay recently. There are normal light scratches, a few dings, but nothing major. Wesley Allen is now making iron beds but nothing like this. If this style is something that you have been looking for then this is probably going to be one of a very limited number you will find available. This rare frame is very clean and straight and always in a Non-Smoking environment. I am asking $1200.00 BIN or make me an offer if you believe that to be unreasonable.
