The rattan is quite well fixed to the bed via backing boards that hold it firmly in place. The bed is lovely and well made. Though we do not know the maker. Possibly Drexel or Dunbar. DESCRIPTION: Stunning Danish Modern teak King +/ headboard. Retains the paper Danish Control label on back. The rich graining and color is amazing. Although there is a"front" side to the headboard(the side with the corner/edge molding) I actually like the"back" of the headboard more.and it's streamline, minimalist form(just remove the paper label in the upper corner) There are two"slots" for hardware on each side. The overall dimensions would accommodate a king bed but it may be usable for a queen. Please refer to dimensions below. CONDITION: Some light fading to the"front" of the headboard. Otherwise. Mid Century Early Danish Modern 1960s King Bed Headboard Walnut or Teak Retro
Wonderful Mid-Century Modern King Headboard 1960s solid wood. I do not know who made the headboard; it has numbered markings from maker. Please see photos. There is a number'39" embossed into the wood on two places on the back, and at the bottom of the front side there are stampings of numbers, perhaps model or design numbers. Wood is walnut or teak.
