The top has a small ornate silver plate for engraving the owner’s monogram. But it has never been engraved, although someone has lightly scratched their initials there. The hinges are intact and in fine working condition. The inside of the lid has a red velvet lining. Where the lid and box go together. It is lined with faux ivory. The caddy has two compartments with matching lids. The bottom of the box is covered with a dark covered floral embossed paper. The top. Back, front, and base of the box are sectioned off by silver flat wire. You can tell a lot of effort and highly skilled workmanship went into making this Tea Caddy of great quality for its time. This two compartment Tea Caddy sits on four round ball feet and measures a little over five inches high. About eight inches long, and about five inches wide. It weighs about 503 grams. Due to its great vintage age it does have condition issues. And could probably use a very good restoration from an expert. There are cracks on the top. Front, back, and sides. There are chips of material gone on the front. Base, sides, and back. Some of the flat silver sectioning wire looks bent and some looks to be missing. One of the hand engraved mother of pearl flower petals. Under the front lock plate, is missing. Both of the compartment lids have chips with material missing. And the compartment linings and lock mechanism are gone. The item might be used as your jewelry box if you did not want to restore it as a Tea Caddy. Up for auction is a vintage/antique Drexel 4 piece bedroom set. This is nice sturdy furniture from the days when things were made to last. I believe my parents bought it in 1958 or 1959. I don’t know much about furniture but I’ll describe them as best I can. The dresser measures approx. 52” wide by 21” deep by 36” high. Has six deep drawers, and matching mirror. The top drawer on both sides has a sliding jewelry tray. Next is the chest of drawers. It stands approx.48” high by 20”deep by 36” wide. There are five drawers. Each a little deeper than the other from top to bottom, ranging from 4” to 18” The top drawer also has a sliding jewelry tray. Third is the night stand. Its dimensions are 28” high by 16” deep by 20” wide. It has one drawer and shelf space underneath. Last but not least is the regular size bed frame. I have the head and foot ... moreboards and the 2 side boards; however I don’t know what became of the slats that hold the mattress and box spring up. This set is used. It has some scratches and chips here and there. There is a reddish stain on the dressers top. Possibly from a perfume spill. Also, when I took the mirror off, I found a brown stain, for lack of a better description, that was hidden underneath that seems to have eaten part of the laminate. The dresser is 48 inches tall and 30 inches wide, it has 4 very deep drawers. The Vaniety is 41 3/4 inches wide and 29 1/2 inches tall, the mirror that is attached to the vaniety is 34 inches tall. The headboard is 40 inches tall, and this bed comes with headboard and footboard. This is for pick up, all shipping arrangements have to be made by the buyer. Really well kept set. Beautiful 4 piece waterfall bedroom set in excellent condition. Includes double bed frame with rails and slats. Dresser(42 w x 20 d x 34 h/68 to the top of the mirror) armoire(34 w x 19 d x 60 h) cedar lined, and vanity(44 w x 18 d x 27 h/66 to top of mirror) and bench. These pieces are all very nice and very sturdy. One or two of the drawers stick a little and there are a few small chips to the veneer but the pieces were very well taken care of. Very rare bedroom set circa 1960s. It is in excellent condition for any age dresser set. Hard enough to find a single piece in this original finish condition let alone a complete set. I will hold for shipper to pick up but will not ship myself. Every piece is in excellent condition other than some small surface scratches. The unit was moved 3 times in 50 plus years.
