Probably dating from the 1960s or‘70s. The size tells me it’s probably a modern-day queen-size bed, measuring 61 x 80 on the inside. The outside dimensions are 64 inches wide, 41 inches to the headboard, and an amazing 94 inches to the finial on the canopy top. It has a floral carved wooden frame along the top that connects the four barley-twist posts together. The posts come all the way down on the headboard and footboard. The headboard has raised multi-shaped panels, and it has clip-in rails that make the bed nice, tight, and secure. There are metal brackets to hold the box spring up on the inside of the rails, and it is finished in a dark amber color. The overall condition is ... moregood. Up for auction is this Solid Oak Antique Canopy Queen Bed Headboard and Footboard in Excellent Condition. You will have to provide the hook-in rails and the canopy top) The top piece of the post lifts off so you can attach the canopy top to it. Color: The bed is a medium brownish colored stain. I believe it is chestnut(but I am not exactly sure) It is very pretty. Lighting varies when taking pictures so all pictures may not look the same for coloring.
