We also have the wood slats to go across.So all you need is ma mattress, its in the french country look hand painted maybe around 30 years old but looks like its 100 years old. There are poles to the top if you wanted to have curtains or fabric. But look great as it is.

Cherry four poster bed with wooden side rails from 1951. It is a full size or double bed from Statton furniture company. There are scratches and wear appropriate for its age. But nothing a good polishing with furniture oil wouldn't cover. The last two photos show what damages I could find. One leg at the head of the bed looks as if it was cracked and repaired with screws, and the next to the last photo shows a small crack in the poster, which I am not sure can be seen- it was quite small.
