The Vermont Furniture Company was founded in 1920. Started the Bennington line in the 1960s, and went out of business in the 1970s. While looking like antiques, these pieces of furniture do not really qualify for the status of antique pine furniture as they are less than 100 years old. This is solid wood(maple) A great set made by the furniture company that Thomas Edison took over in the 20's. ORIGINAL owner, bought in 1958 in Harrisburg, Pa. this set includes 1 youth bed headboard, footboard& side boards(fits twin size mattress NOT included) 1 double dresser& 1 mirror, 1 chifferobe, 1 nightstand, 1 child's clothes tree all in original finish. A few of the drawers have the small organizers in the corner which can be removed(JIFFEE TRA) The dresser measures about 56" wide x 18"in depth x 34" high. VINTAGE/ANTIQUE 4 PIECE DREXEL BEDROOM SET
Up for auction is a vintage/antique Drexel 4 piece bedroom set. This is nice sturdy furniture from the days when things were made to last. I believe my parents bought it in 1958 or 1959. I don’t know much about furniture but I’ll describe them as best I can. The dresser measures approx. 52” wide by 21” deep by 36” high. Has six deep drawers, and matching mirror. The top drawer on both sides has a sliding jewelry tray. Next is the chest of drawers. It stands approx.48” high by 20”deep by 36” wide. There are five drawers. Each a little deeper than the other from top to bottom, ranging from 4” to 18” The top drawer also has a sliding jewelry tray. Third is the night stand. Its dimensions are 28” high by 16” deep by 20” wide. It has one drawer and shelf space underneath. Last but not least is the regular size bed frame. I have the head and foot ... moreboards and the 2 side boards; however I don’t know what became of the slats that hold the mattress and box spring up. This set is used. It has some scratches and chips here and there. There is a reddish stain on the dressers top. Possibly from a perfume spill. Also, when I took the mirror off, I found a brown stain, for lack of a better description, that was hidden underneath that seems to have eaten part of the laminate. This lovely Colonial Craft brand set is from the estate of the original owner. And it was very well cared for for over many decades. All the pieces are marked"solid birch" which is very rare with such high quality grain(most birch is painted, not stained) There are a few minor blemishes in the finish, which are shown in the pictures, but all the drawers and doors work great, and the set is beautiful and functional for a master or single's bedroom setup. Triple dresser measures 72-1/2" long x 31" high x 18-1/4" deep. The mirror portion measures 30" high x 62" long x 1" deep. Attached to the dresser are three beveled mirrors that are rectangular in shape and curved in the middle to create a mod design. Interspersed are two large curved wood panels also with a mod design. Two doors on each side open to reveal three drawers. There are 3 long horizontal drawers with brass pulls. The night stands each measure 23-3/4" long x 24" high x 15-1/4" deep. Each have two drawers. The chest of drawers measures 43-3/4" high x 38-1/2" long x 18" deep. It has 4 drawers. Drexel Vintage French Provincial Bedroom set 2 Twin, Night Stand,Dresser Mirror
I have a Drexel bed set that I need to sell. This set comes with 2 twin bed frames(no matters) 1 night stand, 1 dresser and 1 mirror. The mirror can be hung either vertical or horizontal, can be hung on the wall or I have the bars to attach it to the dresser. The dresser has a hidden compartment in the top center(see picture) There are gold and silver flowers on all pieces and I have cut to fit(I think they are original) glass tops for the night stand and the dresser. We inherited this set and have had if for several years, we love this set but due to a new addition to our family we no longer have room for it or we would keep it. The variations in the wood veneer are so pretty. All original brass hardware(in good condition with normal signs of wear) This is very well made- solid wood with dovetail construction. All drawers slide well. This set has been in our family since its original purchase(sticker on the back of pieces shows 1951 production date) The tall dresser has 3 big lower drawers(one with dividers. One lined in cedar and with a cedar lid, and one with a built in box for valuables. Up for auction is this antique art deco 1920'1930's bedroom set.It was passed down from my grandmother to my mother back in the day.The vanity with the mirror is one beautiful piece.it's in great condition.it has all orginal draw knobs.Now the dresser with the mirror has 2 knobs missing as you can see from the picture.the veneer on the side is in good condition.nightstand is a great shape.and the head board and foot board is in good condition.Full size bed.there is a full matteress and box spring that goes with it.if you are interested in it I will just throw it in.I mean this set is 80 years old.so it show's its wear on it.the bottom of all of the pieces have scratches from the vacum cleaners.but it has been now in storage for almost 1 year.so it needs a good cleaning.The bed is a full size. The hardware seems to be solid brass with some turquoise ceramic paint accent. The maker is Millman& Poloso out of Union City. N.J. and the materials are Walnut& Pecan. Brand stamped inside drawer is KROEHLER. Dresser: 62" wide. 19" deep, 31" tall. Mirror: 50" wide, 31" tall. Mirror adjustable in height on top of dresser. Taller dresser:43" wide. 19" deep, 46" tall. Color is best represented by photo of nightstand. The others are showing much lighter than the set really is in person. Headboard has 2 doors that slide to the center so you have storage cubbies. Complete CUSHMAN COLONIAL BEDROOM SET.there is seven pieces total plus a glass top for the writing desk. The set is in overall nice condition.some pieces are excellent! There is a bed with head and foot board plus two side rails. A tall boy dresser, a short 5 drawer dresser, a writing desk with glass top, a night stand and two mirrors. All pieces seem to be authentic to the original set. The bed is not in the best condition.one of the rails is loose, there is a wear spot on the head board as you can see in the photo and the mans puppy who I bought it off of chewed the one foot that you can also see in the photo.he was the original owner by the way and he thinks this dates to 1947 which is possible as the drawer tags are the older style. The night stand has some surface scratching on the top also. The mirrors have some tape residue from his ... moresporting news paper clippings when he was a kid. Honestly the other pieces are in very nice condition for their age and the writing desk was always protected by the glass.
