Vintage 1968 Round Oak Brunch Table and Four Oak Rolling Dining Chairs
This auction is for a vintage Oak"Brunch Table" and four matching Oak rolling chairs. This is all in used condition. But details are listed below. The table's measurements are 43 3/4" across. 25" tall, and 34" long base feet. The table is in very good shape and is fairly stable. But does wobble a bit when pushed on. However, we do live in a very unsettled house and it could be our floor. It's worth mentioning, though. It's made of a beautiful oak, and is stamped on the underside as a"brunch table. It's a fairly short table, and features a very intricate, and possible hand carved, four leg system, which has been pictured. There is a cup ring on top of the table. Note: The oil lamp and deer antlers are not included with this listing. They are just a display piece. Also, the discoloration of the ... moretable in the picture where said pieces have been moved aside is from me being too impatient to properly dry off the table after noticing a smudge. There are no such streaks usually. There are four chairs included and each one is 17" floor to the seat. 28 1/2" floor to the top of the back, with a 22" wide x 18" deep seat. Two of them have no dates stamped on them. One is stamped May 3rd, 1968 and the last is stamped with April 9th, 1968. I don't know why they feature different dates. Each chair is in very good shape and roll very well. They do each squeak when rolling while sitting in them, but that should be able to be oiled up and eliminated. They appear to be upholstered with a leather like product. I'm not sure if it is genuine leather or not. I'll leave that at that. SHIPPING: We are not offering shipping on this item. A very expensive set my parents bought new and is in excellent condition considering it's 50+ years old; hasn't been used much from the mid-60's on. The wood is absolutely beautiful as you can see by the pictures. warm tones that truly enhance the room and create an inviting setting. The set consists of: round dining table with one leaf to make it rectangular; small credenza with shelf; large credenza with shelves. Silverware divider drawer, plate rack slots; four side chairs and two arm chairs. ... moreThe credenzas close with a magnetic push lock. The table and credenzas have always been covered by a 1/4" pane of clear glass to protect the wood surface. The chairs were professionally recovered in an antique off-white scroll pattern material a few years ago. All the pieces are in excellent condition with no significant damage; no repairs have ever been necessary. A nice eBay member contacted me to tell me that Kipp Stewart and Stuart MacDougall were the designers. Created in 1958. The set is solid walnut and the chairs are each gracefully hand-crafted with rosewood inlay. I did a little research on them and they were very well known artists and designers of the mid-century, modern, Eames-era movement. Since then I've found several ads for just the chairs at $5,000 and more. Apparently they're becoming harder to find, so take advantage of aquiring the entire set for half of what you'd pay in an antique store. I'm a huge fan of furniture of this period with its sleek lines and simple styling. This furniture is timeless- it looked beautiful in 1960 and will look so in 2060. Mid Century Modern Table Teak Dining Round Scan 60s H.W. Klein ? Bramin Designer
Beautiful Mid Century Modern Table solid wood Scandanavian extendable kitchen or Dining Table. This Table shows similar features to other known pieces such as the Henry W. Klein Table built for Bramin in Denmark during the early 1960's or the Harry Ostergaard Rounded Danish tables. Underneath is signed. But I cannot Identify the mark and I believe the original sticker fell off. Underneath it is marked with G.R. or G.P. check image) followed by"9084" Each table section piece is numbered including each leg, leave and table piece which also makes me feel like it is a Bramin piece(most Bramin Pieces were numbered in a similar way. Table is marked with 550's and the legs are stamped in the 350's This table is a designer piece and made at a high cost as you can see in the photos and details. The piece shows maximum crasftsmanship ... morewith its molded lip and molded wood pieces that the legs screw into. There are 3 parts to this table: The top surface. The molded pieces that blend into the table where the legs are screwed into, and the legs. Everything is Solid wood with veneer on the top from what I can see. This table is made from Teak or Beech from what I can tell, but the table does not say exact materials used. Finish on the table is a nice warm honey red brown tone that most danish or teak pieces show. The only issues with the piece is that the top was damaged with heat marks and light scratches. Also the molded leg mounts that the legs screw into have light cracks but hold well. I fixed what I could without seeking professional help. Table is sold as is for this reason. The leaves are clean from any major damage. Table fits 6-8 fully extended. Table does not come with chairs. I need to measure the table and will do so shortly and update the listing. This table is nearly one of a kind designer danish piece most likely imported around the late 60s early 70s. Your kitchen or dining are will stand out as even this style is hard to obtain. There are others out there vaguely similar running for over 15
