PICK UP ONLY This is an amazingly beautiful table. Not sure who the designer was but it was made for Lowes of Pasadena by Brown and Saltman. It's in very good condition but not perfect. There are a couple light glass water marks. A small ding in one corner of the table and a couple light scratches. Other than that it is perfect. I think the table had leafs for the center but I don't have them. Solid and sturdy. And the teak wood is wonderful. Measures. 6 ft in length 3 ft 4 inches wide 2 ft 5 inches high. A classic teak dining table manufactured in Denmark. This table is the quintessential Danish modern expandable dining table. It features two Dutch style extraction leaves which pull out from either end of the table allowing for eight to dine comfortably. The frame is solid wood and the legs and banding are solid teak. The leaves match well with the tabletop and the piece is in excellent vintage condition with barely any wear. The teak has a wonderful tone and has a nice mellow and even grain pattern. this is a fine quality designer dining set made in denmark and imported by selig. these chairs seem to be very rare and obscure. it is certainly comparable to wegner.Juhl,hvidt etc. the table and chairs are the same designer. they all have the indented dimple at the top of the legs. the whole set is in very good to excellent all original condition. a couple of chairs did have the back re-glued and it should be re-done. it was not done professionally. while not too bad it would make the set look better. i can send pics to you if you wish. the top is reversible and both sides are clean and good. if anyone recognizes this designer i would like to know. the dimensions are- chairs-22 wide x 21 deep x 30 1/2 high back and table is 35 1/2 square by 28 1/2 high. the chairs have a bit wider seat than average. thanks for looking.

The condition is excellent very hard to find it in this condition for a 50 year old dinning set. The table has been covered up almost from the day it was bought. The only damage that was found was a very small veneer knick on a corner that was repaired. The original chrome castes do need to be cleaned they were not covered by the cloth. other than this the table is in mint shape. The table is located in Syracuse NY. There 2 wood slides on each side to hold up the drop leaves. There are only 2 matching chairs with this table. The cushions are ok in average condition. This is from the late 1950's or early 1960's. We aren't very knowledgeable about shipping this kind of thing. So this is offered for pick up only at our warehouse in Anaheim. California(near Disneyland) We can't pack it or provide shipping, for example. you'll have to arrange to pick it up or work out a deal with something like uship.com or similar. Very original 1960's table attributed to designer Kai Kristiansen in very presentable condition. The table is marked only with"Made in Denmark" as shown. Could probably use a bit more cleaning than we gave it. But still very attractive. Removed from the estate of the original 1960's purchaser just last week. As you can see, this looks pretty good. All intact and looks great. Solid as a rock. this is a solid. Heavy table made right and meant to last a lifetime or more. Two scratches on top shown in my closeup ... morephoto with the pointing fingers. The wood, however, looks very nice in general and I found no signs of previous repairs. and no repairs needed now. Table extends with the use of one or two of the built-in extensions. These have a clever"elevator" system I have not seen before. pull the table apart and one or both leaves rise into position. With the extensions in place. This measures a big 9.5' feet long and will seat all your family and friends at one table! Unextended. This is about 71" long(just under 6 feet) It's 39.5" across and 29 inches tall. Legs unbolt for easier transport. Mid Century Danish Modern Svegards Markaryd Teak Dining Set Table + 6 Chairs
Set is in very good condition with the exception of one chair that has a leg that has been repaired with a couple of screws and some glue as pictured. All other chairs are structurally VERY sound. Besides that. There is a couple of very small 1/4" holes in the original tweed fabric on two of the chairs and just normal wear to the tabletop from use that would be commensurate with age. The other four chairs are free of holes and their upholstery is pretty much perfect w/ very little visible soiling. Chairs are signed by manufacturer and from my research I am pretty sure that the table is made by Svegards Markaryd as well. Widdicomb MCM Mid Century Modern Danish Vintage Retro Dining Set Table Chairs

John Widdecomb's purchased the Widdicomb Co. in 1974 and this set is from that era. Beautiful in it's simplicity, it would work perfectly in any home for it would compliment all styles of design. The table is round. W/o extensions it measures 48 inches in diameter and its height is 29 1/4 inches. Each of the 3 extensions measures 48 inches long and 16 inches wide making the table 96 inches in length when all extensions are used. Chairs are 32 inches high. Floor to seat is 19 inches. Seat depth 16 1/2 inches. Width 18 inches. The table top will definitely need to be refinished. Sometime in it's past. The original finish was removed ... moreon top of the table. It has spots and color fading. The rest of the table and the 4 chairs has the original finish on them. Along with the expected wear, scuff marks and some finish loss is noted on some of the chairs and table legs/sides. Some veneer is missing in some areas. The chairs have been recovered at least once and a previous covering seems to be in place under the current one. One of the extensions has drip marks on the underside which may indicate that this extension has been refinished in the past. When placed in the table, the color and finish match everything on the set BUT the top of the table. All of the extensions are stamped with the same number. These pieces will be sold as is. Like many of you. I'm an AVID collector and have been for many years. ANYTHING Mid-century Modern, Danish Modern, Bauhaus, The Arts aka Nouveau, Deco, Moderne-WANT IT! This is an estate piece. Some items from the estate items are Mid Century. But most was newer, so I have no idea of the age of this piece. The base is beautiful, and a great design, but the top is scratched and has a small ding(I would replace the top if it were me) I am listing this as"pick up only" but I can drop it off in Phoenix or Tucson. I have the names of shippers, but I have never used them. I am happy to hold it for awhile until it can be picked up.
