This furniture is circa 1920. Jacobean or Tudor style. Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. The table measures 40" wide. 26" closed with leaves dropped, down, each drop leaf adds 17" to each side and the extra leaf measure 20" for a grand total of 80" open. There 2 wood slides on each side to hold up the drop leaves. There are only 2 matching chairs with this table. The cushions are ok in average condition. This is from the late 1950's or early 1960's. They were bought by our parents new. The set is in nice shape and sturdy showing only normal wear from decades of use. Stickley Gate Leg Drop Leaf Dining Table & 4 Chairs Cherry
Up for auction is this Stickley Dining Set post 1950. It is being sold as is and does have evidence of use. The table has water marks. Scratches, nothing that can't be repaired. The table when fully open is 71 1/2" long. It is 44" wide, 29 3/4" tall. When the leaves are down the table is 27 1/2" Each leaf is 22" It does come with 4 rush seat ladder back chairs. The seats are all in good condition, they have had pads on them for protection. The chair backs are 40" tall and the seats are 18 1/2" x 16" The chairs are marked Stickley Fayetteville Syracuse. This Original Heywood Wakefield solid wood drop leaf table comes with 4 original chairs. The table top has been refinished with a clear finish and is in wonderful condition. The chairs are in very good condition. I believe they may have been re-upholstered. But the upholstery is still in very good condition, except for a very minor fray on one chair.
