There is no identification as to the maker but based on similar chair examples we have seen we believe it was made by Kalp-Sons. Santa Fe, Ca. The table has a harvest gold Formica top with rattan and cane edging and a rattan base. The rattan frame chairs have cane backs with cloth fabric seats having a butterflies print. Measurements: Table Height: 28” Table Top without Leaf: 43” x 55” Table Top with Leaf: 43” x 73” Table Leaf: 18” wide Chair Seat Height: 17” Chair Overall Height: 35” Seat Diameter: 18” Condition: As is typical of vintage and antique furniture. The set is not perfect. The finish shows some wear, understandable for a 40 +/ year old piece of ... morefurniture but considering its age it is still in decent shape. The caning on the back of one chair has been replaced and though it was a decent job. It is noticeable and not quite the same as the factory job. The cushions have been reupholstered with a butterfly print cloth and the seats are all in very good condition. A few screws have been added randomly to the bases of the chairs for tightening and strengthening and they are structurally solid. The base of the table is structurally solid and in very good condition. The original Formica top shows minor wear and is in very good condition. A nice feature of the table is the ease of installing and removing the leaf with the patented mechanism making it so only one person can easily do the job in seconds. The set shows a little wear from its intended use but certainly is presentable and displays nicely. Overall condition is very good and it will give many more years of service. Mid Century Mod 1960's Chromecraft, Chromantic 66, 4 Star Trek Style Chairs
This is a great set of four 60's MOD chairs. They are made by Chromcraft Inc. Senatobia, Miss. And are called Chromatic 66. They are in the condition I just found them in. I've done nothing to them except wipe them off with Pledge. I took separate photos of each chair so please see photos for condition. There is one chair that has a quarter size hole in the Vinyl(see last photos) and there are a few other small(prick) holes throughout the set. The bases are sturdy and swivel fine. But they are nearly 50 years old, so they have a little play in them. I go about 250lbs, and they handled my weight fine) I spun on all four chairs with my feet in the air to test them(kinda fun! Also, one seat is missing a bolt that attaches to the base, but it looks like it would be an easy repair to put a new bolt in its place, and the seat handled my ... moreweight just fine with only three bolts holding it. Anyway. They are not perfect, but look pretty darn cool and are no doubt functional as they sit. Please ask any question if you have them. The pedestal has been ring turned for added character and there are 4 large feet coming out from the bottom of the pedestal. The feet are smooth with claws carved into the edge of them. The stiles are spindles style with ribbing on them as well as being ring turned. There are 8 spindles on the back rest of each chair. The chair legs and stretchers match the stiles. One chair has a nick on the edge of the seat, all the other chairs appear to be in excellent condition. The whole set is solid and sturdy with lots of use left in them. This set is in great condition however it is not new and may not be perfect. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. Table measurements are 30 ½ inches tall, 48 ½ inches side to side and 48 ½ inches front to back. It weighs 80 pounds. I replaced the original tapestry when I bought it because it was in bad shape. There are no cracks or broken chairs. I think the table and chairs are made of cherry wood, but I am not 100% sure. I have for sale a vintage Chromcraft dining table and set of four chairs. They were manufactured by Chromcraft. Inc. of Senatobia, Mississippi. The dining table top is made of wood with white veneer. The base is made of steel with chrome finish. The chairs have vinyl covered seats. And chromed steel legs. They have spring mechanism built under the seat that lets the seat lean back a little. The white top of the table is very clean. There are small stains but not very noticeable. The legs of the table and chairs have minor rust spots. They can be cleaned with a good metal cleaner. The vinyl covers on the seat have some discolorations on them. Especially on the top area of the backs. I believe they are caused by fine mist of cooking oil. While being in the kitchen. Not a lot of information about this set as I aquired it at an estate sale. The table top is unique with an Electra inlay design. It has a leaf that is easily added and removed for extra space. There is a small chip on the side of the table top. Though the legs are in great condition structurally. The brass(brass plated? legs are very worn. The vinyl chairs are white and the vinyl is in excellent condition with the exception of a small tear at the piping on the seat of one. I am offering a 1970s Red and Chrome Dining set including 4 chairs. Manufactured by Kofabco Inc in the 70s. Pictures are taken outside for lighting purposes. But table has been used indoors only. Pedestal Base. Table is 35.75" square. 4 chairs included in set. Because this is an original and not a 21st century remake, some of the chair legs have a little rust. Vintage Chrome 1950's Kitchen Table & 4 Chairs Cracked Ice Dinette Set Retro
This is a Genuine Howell Chromsteel Dinette set. Made in St Charles, IL- most likely during the late 1940's/early 1950's- and features both the coveted"cracked-ice" Formica table surface as well as the signature chrome trim. The set is a 5-piece set, consisting of 4 chairs and a lovely table- as well as an extra leaf to extend the table. Dimensions of the table are: 29.5" tall. 48" long, and 30" wide- the leaf adds an additional 12" to the length of the table(see photo) Dimensions of the chairs are: 18" seating height. Seats are 15" deep. The vinyl on the chairs is in extremely good condition. With no tares to speak of, and in a beautifully bright red that shows no signs of fading. The chrome trim has some scuffing but still reflects brightly. The table is in good condition, there are no scratches or dents. There is a very small amount of rusting on the chrome and can be removed with wd40. Here is a retro vintage red cracked ice formica chrome kitchen dining table with 4 chairs. It's is pretty good shape for its age. I have cleaned the chrome and it is bright and shines will need to be done again as I can't keep this in the house along with the other sets I also have up for auction. Up under the table where the legs attach to the table there is some rust but could be sanded down with steel wool. There is no leaf. Two of the 4 chairs have a tear in the seats. One is one inch long and the other is about 4" You can buy vinyl repair kits especially made for this or have them all reupholstered. There are normal nicks and scratches on the edges of the table on the chrome. Buyer to pay for auction within 3 days after it ends.
