The chairs have beautiful detailing. Cane backs, and upholstered seats. The fabric has hues of cream, blue, green, and mauve. We believe they are made of solid walnut– with a beautiful stain. Quality craftsmanship through and through– very solid and study. The table is an octagon shape with great detailing on the legs and base. Table opens to fit one 18” leaf– custom pads can be used to protect the top. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. Only minor marks on wood from use. Tabletop is in excellent condition with minor scratches and some minor marks along edge. Upholstery is slightly worn in places but there are no holes or tears/rips. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece that measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. All have the platinum finish and are signed. We do have the shelf and glass sliding doors for the hutch that are not present in the pictures. Dovetail construction. No pressboard Table has 3 leaves. Very good condition. 60 x 41 inches. Each leaf adds 12 inches. So total expanded size is 96 x 41 when all 3 leaves are in place. Lovely carving details on the apron and legs. Custom made table pads(for table and all 3 leaves) One arm chair. 3 side chairs. Chair seats need reupholstering. The wood on the chairs legs is in very good condition, minimal scratches and dings for a set of this age. Wood on chair backs is OK but could benefit from refinishing. photo shows 1 side chair, but there are 3 side chairs and 1 arm chair in the set) China cabinet/hutch. Excellent condition. Has glass-door top section ... morewith 3 shelves; bottom has 4 large drawers. 2 small drawers and 2 side cabinet sections each with 2 shelves. Here is an absolutely terrific mid-century dining set recently imported to the US from Scotland through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home today. This delightful set includes a terrific sideboard with hutch top. Drop leaf oval dining table and six gorgeous wood chairs with dated seat cushions that snap to the underside of the frames, also all well made with beautiful lines, tight joints and all 8 pieces in very nice condition as shown in my multiple pictures. The drop leaf oval dining table in it's 44 1/2 inches long by only 25 inches wide by 30 inches tall size with both sides down offers convenient storage options against a wall or as a console or small dining table. With one leaf flipped open in place the table is 36 1/2 inches wide and with a flat side can be used against a wall in a snug space. In it's full 49 inches long ... morewith both leaves open in place by 44 1/2 inches wide size. All six of the dining chairs fit comfortably under the table with plenty of room for your guest to eat. The top has a few minor surface scratches but none discolored or major scratches, dents or gauges and it's sleek carved legs give this piece beautiful simple lines and again, make it a bit special. The wonderful sideboard with step back hutch top measures 47 inches long by 75 inches tall by 18 inches deep front to back at the base and 8 inches deep at the top section. It travels in two pieces. The base 47 inches long by 34 inches tall by 18 inches front to back. The hutch top measures 44 inches long by 41 inches tall by 8 inches front to back. There are two fixed shelves, the first 5 inches deep and 12 inches above the base top, which has a cut in grooved plate rail for displaying china on the back of the base top as well as the two shelves, also as shown. This set has been in our family for over 30 years. And we are sadly helping my mother move out of her house into something more manageable. American Drew has been designing and building furniture for over 80 years. And if you are an antique expert, you know how rare this particular set is. These have been valued at over $4,000, but we would rather sell them outright as opposed to through a dealer. All pieces, which are solid oak and gorgeous, have been well-cared for, and ready for pick-up(the sooner, the better! The table. Which measures just over 8 feet long when both leaves are intact, is extremely well-built, heavy, and has super-unique brass-plates on each of the four claw feet(two at each end. The top is gorgeous, the wood was carefully chosen for its grain, and the pics show how cared for it has been over the years, The chairs may ... morebe my favorite.and you will not be able to find them online or even in an antique store anywhere. We have researched quite a bit. They include two captains chairs. And the backs are detailed with vertical rods, a design reminiscent of French Country. Gorgeous. The china hutch has the same hardware found of the"Cherry Grove" American Drew collections.brass and highly detailed. The piece is 6 ft. 6 inches tall, 4 ft, 9 inches across the front, and is 1 ft, 6 inches deep(total) while the inside shelves are 1 ft in depth. The hutch contains two smaller drawers at each end and one larger drawer across the middle. It still has the inside felt divider(green, as pictured with the American Drew stamping) The glass is paneled, and there IS a bit of vertically cracked glass on the right segment(could be replaced) All hardware is amazing and in perfect vintage condition.
