Quality craftsmanship through and through– very solid and study. The table is an octagon shape with great detailing on the legs and base. Table opens to fit one 18” leaf– custom pads can be used to protect the top. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. Only minor marks on wood from use. Tabletop is in excellent condition with minor scratches and some minor marks along edge. Upholstery is slightly worn in places but there are no holes or tears/rips. This furniture is circa 1920. Jacobean or Tudor style. Not really considered antique(100 yrs) It is more commonly called vintage, though I have seen it called antique vintage to attract a wider audience. I was unable to locate any manufacture or date on the furniture other than on the bottom of the chairs which most likely was a re-upholster tag. Although considered common furniture in the 1920s-30s it is an excellent example of detail and craftsmanship. This type of furniture was made by many different manufacturers and sold by many different stores; so finding an exact manufacturer might not be possible. The more common furniture usually was not stamped by any manufacturer. Possibly made from bass wood or common wood. Would like to sell as a group. Fresh from a fine Cape Cod(Chatham) water front estate we offer this modern glass and chrome dining table with six chrome and leather chairs made by Klaus Nienkamper. Toronto, Canada. The table measures 72" x 36" and has two 18" extension leafs for the ends, making a total length when expanded of 108" The massive glass top and leaves are 3/4" thick! The table is in very good used condition with one glass leaf showing a small flake on the underside of one corner. The chrome on the table is in very good lightly used condition showing just a few scuffs and light scratches. The set also includes six chrome and brown leather chairs. The chairs measure 30" tall x 20" wide x 20" deep and 18" seat height. The leather on the arms of the two leather arm chairs shows some wear and cracking. The seats of the ... morechairs show a nice lighly worn patina. After years in the Cape Cod salt air, the chrome on the chairs is showing some general overall rust coming through the chrome.
