This listing is for a monumental vintage dining table or conference table. Modern 1970's Italian styling with a walnut slab top surrounded by ebonized hardwood on an angled veneered support that fits onto a lacquered black base. Phew! It's huge. Really It measures 96" inches(37.8 cm) long and 44 inches(17.3 cm) wide. The top angles down from 1 1/2 inches to 10 inches(6 to 10 cm) deep. The pedestal base is 21 inches(8.3 cm) high, 29 inches(11.4 cm) wide and 16 inches(6.3 cm) deep. There are eight ebonized hardwood chairs with a really awful upholstery. Just use your imagination to see what magic a bit of fabric would do. The chairs measure 37 inches(14.6cm) total height. 22 inch(8.7 cm) from seat to floor. The seat is 18 inches(7.1 cm) deep, and 20 inches(7.9 cm) wide. The chairs are in gorgeous condition. One has a small paint ... morescrape mark that could probably be buffed out. This table is approximately 40 years old and a buyer should understand that it's been used and is not pristine. There are some scratches on the surface though you have to look from all angles to find them. The edges are not pristine either showing some wear and the pedestal. A classic oval dining table in the Georgian manner from about 40 years ago has three pedestals with three or four cast brass paw feet and wheels. Vintage furniture from England. The finish is in excellent condition on mahogany with inlaid satinwood banding on the top. Three separate sections all have tilting tops. Two 20" wide leaves fit between the pedestal sections, all locked in place with U shaped"forks" on this unsigned table. There is a slight warp to the tops, see photos.
