This sale is for the pictured lot of antique salvaged chain link fence hardware. All of the pieces have a heavy galvanize plating and they have been painted several times. There are 22 tops with holes through them and balls on the top. The hole opening is about 1.5 inches wide and the shanks are 1.5 inches OD and 3 inches long. There are 4 gate hinges. 1 large 3 inch ball and 20 straps. There are 5 cast clamping tops and 5 pressed steel clamping tops. Buyer to pay shipping on 82 pounds and we will be shipping in 2 boxes. Description Vintage cast iron finial with a very ornate design and detail. I don't know what exactly this is off of but it sure is cool. It has a two piece design with two windows in the front. See pictures. This fine piece has some grand detail! You could really get creative with this piece. Quite unique! Approximate Measurements It is 9" tall overall and is 8" x 4" wide. The'bore' or hole in the bottom is 1/4" diameter. Markings None Condition Good condition for its age without any cracks. It has moderate to severe surface rust. Scratches and pitting. Has a maximum width of 4.75 inches and the base measures 1.5 inches across. Inner square opening is 1-1/ 5" of an inch x 1-1/ 5" of an inch. Condition is great; there is random light rust. Beautiful. 8" antique flame or torch architectural, fireplace or fence finial with a hollow 2 1/2" square base. I'm fairly certain that it is made of brass, which would lead one to believe it has to do with a fireplace. As you see it has a beautiful patina and where it is worn on the edges you can see the brass color coming through. This would make a beautiful, unique decorative piece. The weight is 3 1/2 lbs. To me it has an Art Deco style, though it may be much older as it came from a country estate and had been stored away in an old farmhouse for many years. And at its widest the base is about 4 1/2" The inside diameter of the hole is 2" The iron is uneven at the bottom of the finial, as shown in the pictures.
