Up for auction is a pair of large vintage brass cannonball bedknobs bed knobs. See pic 3 to judge size against a regular sized clothespin. They are hollow 4 piece. Collar, shaft, lower ball and upper ball and measure approx. 6" tall and 3 1/2" across, 12 3/4" circumfrence and the bottom opening is approx. 2" They may look a bit wonky in a couple of these pics, but that was just because the interior bolt was hitting the table an throwing them off kilter a bit.you can finagle them to sit straight, I just didn't notice it when I was taking pix. This is for 2 vintage cast brass ball finials. They come in an old cardboard box so they may have been replacements or just parts for projects at the time. They are 3 inches in outside diameter and about 3 ¾ inches high. They were cast in brass and the turned and finished to a high polish. They have a threaded insert that is 1/4 inch threaded. The inserts can be removed or replaced with larger or small bolts. On the box and washer is printed"Japan" Scroll all the way down to see all of my photos. Vintage Carved Solid Wooden Acorn Finial - 2 1/2"
This wooden acorn finial looks older. But I cannot say for certain how old it may be. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall and at its widest it has a 2 inch diameter. The base has a diameter of about 1 3/8 inches and the hole in the base has a diameter of about 1/2 inch. This finial was very dry and I've cleaned it once with build-up remover and lemon oil; however, it's likely that it will dry out again. The finish is uneven and has wear and shallow scratches, which gives it a nice old patina. However, I believe that it could also be refinished. Posted with

Vintage Primative Painted Tin Copula Finial Topper Great decor statement piece. A wonderful weathered finial topper. The finial consists of two pieces(see photo#4) the 11" square base and the round"turned" spire. Made from what looks like galvanized steel and painted gray. One seam on the bottom of the base is loose and both sections have patches made from fiberglass. Measurements: Combined.
