This pair is 3 1/2" high. not counting the screw) 2 1/2" across center, 6 3/4" around middle of acorn or pinecone. Screw is 1 1/4" all the way into the cap, about 1" extends beyond edge of cap. Marked Germany on each. They weigh 9.5oz each. Solid brass or bronze, a magnet does not stick, but it does to the screw part. There is some rust on the underside as shown. These would have many uses, great on a newel post, or a broken pediment on a secretary or chest or bed, on the top of bed posts. The possibilities are endless. Solid Brass American Bald Eagle, Flag Pole Finial / Topper, Landing. 6 1/2" tall
Great looking eagle in excellent condition. Has screwhole on bottom for mounting. Eagle strikes a great landing position pose. Very smooth and well made topper. Just over 6 1/2" tall. 3 1/2" from head to tail and 3" from wing to wing at the bow. It appears larger than it's dimensions to me. Probably because of the way it's posed. LARGE ANTIQUE BRASS GILT EAGLE FLAG FINIAL 5" X 4" w 2" DIAM BASE 1 1/2 LBS
This wonderful old heavy brass finial shows a classic American Eagle with its wings outstretched. Most of the gilt is intact; I'm sure it's been exposed to the elements for years so the gile shows wear in a few areas(see photos) But it just accentuates the details such as the feathers on the wing, chest and tail. It weighs 1 1/2 pounds. And measures 4 1/2 inches across and 5 inches high including the base. The diameter of the base is 2 inches with a 1 1/4 inch screw. It would look fantastic as a decoration. You are viewing a vintage brass eagle topper. Because of it's size. Looks like it came from a flag pole. It is 11 1/2" high and 5 1/2" across the wing tips. The flat brass base is 5" diam. This is a highly detailed piece, well-cast with lots of feather detail(although there is some polish in the grooves) The ball she sits on is about 2 inches diameter.
