Circa 1910, features all original materials, includiing 2 beveled glass mirror doors with working skeleton key locks, 2 lower drawers with brass drawer pulls, wood foot casters(removable, if desired) 3 adjustable interior shelves(left side) and 3-pronged clothing hook for hanging clothing(right side—clothing bar can be added horizontally or more shelving, if preferred) Beyond the aesthetic beauty and sound structural integrity of the armoire, it is also designed well. This gorgeous. Turn off the century, early mission style, oak armoire is perfect for a NYC apartment! It's quite shallow, so doesn't take up a lot of space. It's in truly excellent condition with only minor flaws to the finish(as minimally seen in photos) No major damage. No chips, cracks, etc. Piece is super high quality construction. Imagine going back to the 1900's. This piece is from England and it's made by Garnett& Sons from Warrington and Southport. It was purchased in Oxfordshire. This is rare and I have looked up the cabinet builders who have a long history of quality furniture. This piece does show it's age. But has been used as a bedroom set for the last 3 years with no issues by a teenager and is solid. However, I am NOT an antique collector and purchase items based on my home and interest. Vintage Oak Armoire with Herringbone Patterned Doors - 50.25" X 30.5"
Charming small oak armoire from the Co-operative Wholesale Society(CWS) in Birmingham. England, that began in 1863 and continues today under the name Co-operative Group. This piece was likely made in the 1920s, and features a lovely herringbone pattern on the upper part of its doors, a top that lifts to reveal nicely sectioned cubbyholes for small items, an inside with a rod for clothes and for shoes, and four artfully curved shelves for accessories. The doors open and close with matching oak handles and they latch with simple ball-and-divet closures. Because its protective shellac had yellowed and begun flaking. I personally refinished this piece to reveal its beautiful wood and finished it with a simple coat of Briwax. Also, in the past, someone carved out a couple of small holes(see last picture) to use this as a media cabinet. I hope ... moreyou don't think either updates detract for the overall piece. Elegant. 8' high solid French oak armoire with unique 3-door design. This armoire has two large, deep, nicely gliding drawers across the bottom and has received a custom-fortified interior wood frame to accommodate three drop-in shelves and video electronics if desired. Legs have been reinforced as well to accommodate additional weight. Doors and drawers are removable, but unit itself remains in one piece-something to consider when picking it up/moving it. Antique English Oak Armoire with Original Key
Beautiful English oak armoire with a wonderful beveled mirrored door. Measures approximately 77 inches high and 40 inches wide with 16 inches in depth. Has the original key and the lock works. There are no shelves. Instead it has brass hooks as well as a center hook. Probably had a refurbish a long time ago but still gets a lot of compliments. The draw works and is complete. Interesting round metal handles. This is a delicate unit that should be separated into three pieces to move it. Will do a 100 mile radius drop from Newport RI for an additional $200.

It was designed as a cloak cabinet for an abbey in which the priest stored their vestments and candle lighting tools. The cabinet exterior has been stripped and has only an oil finish; the interior has its original dark finish(see photos) By looking at the photos you can see the brass rod with brass hangers. On the door are the holders for the candle tool rack; there are brackets for a mirror. Not present. The deep finish is in excellent condition on this vintage furniture from Europe. A shaped and beveled center door mirror is original. The key is a handle only, the lock does not work. The center section is 20" deep and has a closet pole, side compartments have removable shelves. More poles or shelves could be installed if desired. Scalloped side doors swing on piano hinges.
