This is in the shape of what looks to be an acorn. At first glance I thought it was a pineapple shape, but the bottom looks as if it is the cap on an acorn. It stands approximately 8" tall and the opening on the bottom is approximately 2- 3/8" by 3- 1/8" This is a heavy old piece and most likely should be shipped via USPS Priority Mail in a flat rate box. This looks as if it was painted gray at one time. This has been in my collection for many years but now it is time to downsize. Here is a vintage wrought iron FINIAL made in New Orleans. I don't know its exact age. It has some white shabby paint to give it a Shabby Chic look. Its shape makes think of a Fleur de Lys. But also of a Pine Cone. The hole underneath is square. It is in great condition. I just see a little rust underneath, but nothing terrible. It is a heavy and wonderful piece. The arrow is vintage and old. the end that fit into another piece is corroded but still functional and strong.
