3 Vintage Lightning Rods with Blue Swirl Glass Balls
You are buying 3 lightning rods with blue swirl glass balls. You can not see in the picture. But when you look close at the balls, there are definitely some darker swirls. Round rod is 12 inches high and has very good patina. Also all 3 have the screw in end on bottom where it fastened to the roof bracket. Blue glass balls are 3 1/2 inches across and 4 inches high. Other than some chipping on outer rims, all 3 are in very good shape with no chips, cracks or breakage at all. Each rod also has an adjustable collar to set the height of the ball. All 3 are very old and orginal. You are buying all 3 for one money and there is no reserve.

Nice Lightning rod globe in my other auction Up for auction is a lightning rod and weathervane with diddie-blitzen rods globe. The globe has a small chip to the top lip but is fine. The weathervane part has the original red glass and has the extra security of a wire along the back side of it helping hold it in place. This was from an estate in Port Washington. Ohio that had been in the same family for over 125yrs, this one appears to have been struck a time or two due to the blackness on the globe. It has the original bottom rod holder and nails. Vintage Lightning Rod Rods One Twisted Stand Both Copper Tipped
For sale is a pair of vintage(maybe antique) lightning rods. Puchased recently in SE Kansas. I know little about these. But here's what I do know; They are 54" tall and are supported via a metal tripod system. Which I am not exactly sure how it works? They are bluish so I am assume the main pole is copper. They have a fitted tip over the top that is very sharp. I will build a box around these or you can pick up locally. I have a pair of glass globes in another auction. Thanks.

Up for auction here is 5 Robbins 28-A Lightning rods and 124' of braided copper wire in 5 pcs. The lightning rods are about 18" tall and are in very good condition fresh off the roof of our house they have lots of patina. They are still hooked to the 1/2" braided wire. I removed one to weight it. One of the screws broke off in it. The wire is 3/8 to 1/2 diameter braided copper ground wire. There are 5 pieces 45' 41'28' and a 7' and 5' piece. The wire has some frays in it and white paint in some spots the u shaped brackets are still on the wire that hold it to the roof. There is also 1 splice clamp. Vintage Set of 4 Aluminum Lightning Rods
This is a vintage set of lightning rods that came off the house I spent my youth in. I'm not sure when they were placed on the house. But I have vague memories of childhood discussions about the lightning rods so it's possible they could date to the late 60's. They are in good shape, but the aluminum mounts are a little rough where they were shaped to the tin roof and where the cables loosened and flapped in the wind the final few years before the house was torn down. You can judge their condition well from the photos. I do not know the manufacturer as they aren't individually labeled, but the lightning rod and weather vane that came off the house with them was made by Robbins in Maryville, Mo. These are very old. They came off a house that we just bought that was originally built in 1870. The house was added on probably in 1930 or so. Not sure of the age.they can be around 70 years old. Calling them vintage. Because I am not an expert on copper lighting rods. In the last picture.you can see that the last one is bent.you probably can reshape it.I didn't want to damage it.and also the second to the last one in the last picture has a small dent on the bottom. This auction is for the TWO(2) vintage lightning rods shown in the picture. Taken right off of the old farm house are these 2 pieces. The center copper rod s are 59" tall. 3 VINTAGE ANTIQUE LIGHTNING RODS D&S Dodd Struthers Lot
We have removed the lightning rods and balls from our 200 year old farmhouse. I am selling some of the parts. This auction is for 3 copper lightning rods in good condition. 21" tall Marked on the bottom piece of copper. One with D&S, the other 2 with Dodd& Struthers Is has normal wear from being on the roof for about 100 years I don't know how old it is. I just know that the whole set was by D&S. Dodd& Struthers, Des Moines Lightning Rod Company, as I found the copper plate on the barn with their name on it, as well as the markings on the bottom of the rods. Paypal is preferred payment. 8 Vintage Copper Lightning Rods 6 Brackets Stands & 2 amber glass balls
Here is a lot of vintage copper lightning rods found in an estate in central Maine. There are 6 rods that measure 36" and all have the top cones& stands or brackets as you can see in the picture. There is one rod that measures 66" with the cone and one rod that measures 72" but does not have the top cone. Also with these rods are 2 beautiful amber glass balls as you can see in the first picture. if you have any questions please ask and I will answer as best as I can. Antique Vintage Lightning Rods ..LOT OF 9 CUTE....
Lot of 9 vintage lightning rods. We are tearing down a 100 year old house and found these on the roof. I know nothing about lightning rods. I took multiple pictures of the rods with their mounting attachments. Some of the mounting attachments are missing but all are shown in pictures do please look at all pictures and zoom in. Pictures shows size of rod. I Believe the rods are aluminum but they could be copper. Leaning more towards aluminum because I don't see the green color copper turns when it is corroded. Sold as is no returns.

Vintage Lightning Rods Sherman Maryville Mo. Brass Copper Bayonette Nickle Plate
Pair of vintage lightning rods. The larger one is marked Sherman Maryville Missouri and has the number a 11 on the clamp. The base is solid copper bronze with a light green patina. The rod is solid copper bronze with nickel plating most of the plating is still intact. It measures 18 1/2 inches tall as shown in the photos including the base. The bases 8 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inch wide as shown. The ride is nice and straight. The small rod is 10 1/2 inches long and a solid copper bronze. There is some Solder near the base see photos this may have been for repair. There are no threads on the smaller one-the opening is three quarters of an inch across. there are no markings on the smaller one. Two for one bid. Please ask any questions if I've missed something.
