4 Vintage French Fleur de Lis/Lys Metal Finials Dull Goldtone Finish 3" Long
The most interesting things are found in dark corners of basement or attic at estate sales. And I'm a packrat that brings them home. These are cool, dull goldtone metal finials for something. They are 3" long full length. The square ends are about an inch of that length. They stick into some type of rod for curtains, I think, or could be used for crafts, costuming, garden decor or what have you. The imagination reels at the possibilities. Or you could use these for curtain rods like I think they were supposed to be. I love things Frenchy looking or Frenchy feeling. Use these for Paris Apartment decorating. Lavish, chic, it all comes to mind, but yes, if you can find the right size curtain rod these would be grand.

No Res This is an Estate Fresh Offering This has been in a home in Ohio since the mid 1920's- they remodeled the staircase and opted not to use this STUNNING NEWEL POST FINIAL! I was told this is likely French- the glass is very thick and heavy- facet cut like a GIGANTIC DIAMOND! Mounted on a bronze or brass mound- ready for remounting- see images below- it is threaded on underside This item is not signed Size: total height is nearly 5 inches: 4 3/4 to be exact- the width across the metal bottom is 1 3/4 inches Condition: hard to detect unless the light hits these spots: there are 2 small crescent shape internal top edge bruise marks- these are not chips.
