Vintage Carved Solid Wooden Acorn Finial - 2 1/2"
This wooden acorn finial looks older. But I cannot say for certain how old it may be. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall and at its widest it has a 2 inch diameter. The base has a diameter of about 1 3/8 inches and the hole in the base has a diameter of about 1/2 inch. This finial was very dry and I've cleaned it once with build-up remover and lemon oil; however, it's likely that it will dry out again. The finish is uneven and has wear and shallow scratches, which gives it a nice old patina. However, I believe that it could also be refinished. Posted with

Vintage Matching Set Dark Wood Wooden Carved Finials 5 1/2" Curtain? Furniture?
You are bidding on a Vintage Matching Set Dark Wood Wooden Carved Finials 5 1/2" tall Curtain? Furniture? Each finial is very nicely carved. They measure 2 3/4" in diameter at the largest point. Each finial measures approximately 5 1/2" tall from top to bottom. The shaft measures 1" in diameter and about 1 3/16" long. The collar is 2 3/16" in diameter. They are in very nice condition and may have never been used but I do not know that for sure. I am not an expert so please examine the pictures and determine condition for yourself. ARCHITECTURAL ANTIQUE : VINTAGE CARVED MAHOGANY CREST
VINTAGE CARVED MAHOGANY FLEUR-DE-LIS CREST: This is a very impressive and interesting carved crest. It is solid mahogany. Deeply carved in the traditional fleur-de-lis pattern. A black metal fleur-de-lis badge has been added to the center of the crest. The crest is approx. 19" tall x 11 3/4" wide x 5 1/2" deep. There are a few missing end pieces at the bottom carving, and there is a missing piece on the right side of the upper carving. The missing pieces do not detract from the overall visual impact of the crest. A handcut/drilled hole has been made at each side of the piece. The finish is satin oil-rubbed dark mahogany. A drilled hole in the back of the crest is used for wall mounting of the piece.

UNUSUAL CARVED MAHOGANY FINIAL: This is a very nicely carved acanthus leaf finial. The finial is attached to it's original 1 3/4" ht. x 5" sq. solid mahogany base with the original square nails. The base has a small missing section at the bottom edge near one of the corners. It also has some nail holes.from where it was attached to it's post. The overall height of the mounted finial is 14 1/2" The carved round center body is approx. 4 3/4" diam. The finial also has a 4 3/4" circular base pad. But! The outstanding feature of the finial is it's open, see-thru, vertical acanthus leaf spire. All four long vertical leaf sections are separated by an open void. One of the spire leaves has it's tip missing, but other than that the carved finial is in excellent condition. The finish is satin dark mahogany. ... moreThis type of finial is often very difficult to find. It would be a great addition to someone's collection of finials, or it can be displayed on it's own. Antique Vintage Woodenware Architectural Relief Carved Rose Flower Finial
Up for auction is a unique vintage antique woodenware gold painted relief carved rose or flower finial or end cap recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition with pedals opening to revel an open center. There are chips and losses to the wood, as well as to the original gold paint. Please see the photos for details. All being said, this finial shows wonderful architectural qualities. There are two mounting holes in the base, best seen in photo#5. The base has an approximate diameter of 1 3/4" and is approximately 2 1/2" tall. Great for reuse or repurposing. Would make a nice candle holder too.
