This attic fresh discovery features 9 mid to late 1800s hand turned solid walnut Victorian architectural finials. Most likely intended for window treatments or portiere rods. Each finial is slightly different(hand turned) and retains its original French polish surface with dirt and scratches with minor chips. There are 3 pair, each measuring 6-6 1/8” tall x 3 ½” maximum diameter with 2 ½ base diameter. PAIR VINTAGE VICTORIAN WALNUT FINIALS, POST CAP, PEDIMENT
This auction is for a PAIR of Vintage Victorian Walnut finials. These could be used as Headboard/ Footboard finials; maybe on a dresser or whatever the design required. They each are about 9" high and 5-3/8" at the widest part. The widest dimension of the base is 3-1/4" under that is a cove molding which narrows the actual footprint down to 2-3/4" square. Check the pictures with the tape measure and notice the 4 square head nails holding those pieces on. In a couple of the pics I've shown the places that are not perfect, one shows some light sanding marks and another shows a slight nick out of the top corner on the molded top square that the turned ball shape is mounted on.
