Set of 6 HEAVY CAST IRON Vtg/Antique ACORN FINIALS Fence Gate Post Tops Caps 5" Beautiful set of 6 of vintage/antique metal acorn finials. I am not sure of the age but they appear to be quite old. I believe that they are cast iron. They are thick and heavy. About 3 pounds each. The finials are painted black and stand approximately 5" tall. The bases measure 3" x 3 1/4" at the widest point with the interior dimensions being somewhat smaller. There are screw holes at either end of the shorter sides to secure the finials to the top of a post. It looks as if there are screw remnants in these holes and they would probably need to be drilled out if you plan on using them as intended. 3 of the bases have breaks(see pics) There is some wear and flaking to the black paint( you can see other paint colors in some areas) and also ... moresome rust here and there. Overall great set with lots of character. Very nice for outdoor use or indoor display. Please be sure to super-size photos to better view details and accurately judge condition.
